I was pleasantly surprised by how well this mousse works. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it and it’s naturally curly, so finding products that give definition without weighing everything down can be tricky. This mousse actually did what I normally need two products to accomplish. It helped define my curls while still keeping my hair light and soft instead of stiff or crunchy. My hair also felt really good after using it — not dry or sticky like some styling mousses can leave it. Another bonus is the scent. It smells really nice without being overpowering, and the coconut and shea combination gives your hair a fresh, clean smell after styling. Pros Defines curls well without weighing hair down Works well for fine but thick curly hair Replaced two styling products in my routine Hair feels soft instead of crunchy Pleasant scent Cons None so far Overall If you have curly hair and are looking for a lightweight mousse that gives definition without stiffness, this one works really well. It simplified my routine and still gave me the results I was looking for. Read more

I’ve been through a lot of hair products looking for that ‘magic bullet’ that will check all the boxes. This is as close as it gets for me. And my daughter. She promptly stole this from me after she used it a few times and it did well for her hairstyles. Anyway, I have short, 3B/C hair and didn’t want weight and didn’t want a crunchy hold. This makes my hair SO soft! And as long as I don’t play with it once it’s set, it will hold all day. This is hard as I’m always wanting to play with my hair or scratch my head. It’s also easy to refresh. Just spray on some water and add a few pumps of mousse, and you’re back on track. I also like the fragrance. It’s not too heavy or cloying. It’s light and clean. I let it air dry and have a more ‘flat’ style. My daughter uses a diffuser and that gives her volume. It also keeps the hair from looking fried. It’s not a glossy look, but not dry like straw either. I have no idea of the ingredients, but this is about 1/4 the price of other products and does a better job, in my opinion. Read more

Budget friendly foam mousse that defines thin waves perfectly but you might need to add a clarifying Shampoo to your routine I have very little thin hair with delicate waves that if I'm not careful with the styling products that I use can easily become dry and frizzy or limp and stringy. This product did not do that. However, I learned it must be applied reasonably. Too much is definitely drying. Not a problem, since I don't have a lot of hair and what I have is thin, so less product is actually more for me. I like lottabody mousse because with the proper amount it does not weigh my hair down nor crispy it. The foam is not sticky either. Didn't leave any greasiness. I find the mousse works best for me if I apply it while my hair is still damp and I manually scrunch my hair and let it air dry. Helps define my waves while allowing my hair to remain soft and bouncy. I find that if I apply when my hair is already dry that it doesn't define my waves as much. In fact might smooth them down a bit instead. Either with wet or dry hair, I do find it helps with fly aways. Overall, great budget friendly mousse for soft defined waves that last all day. Only reason I knocked off a star is because after a while of daily use it did cause me dandruff. I had never had dandruff until I started using this product. Nothing a bit of clarifying Shampoo or dandruff shampoo doesn't help with but just wished this product didn't cause that issue to begin with. Read more

I ordered this on vacation when I realized I had forgotten my styling mousse to wear my hear curly/naturally. This has a nice light coconut scent and gets the job done! For such a low price point, I was shocked at how well it worked! It defined my curls but also didn’t leave a crunchy cast and was pretty moisturizing as well! I’ll be buying this again. Read more

A bit of info first - I’m Caucasian with super thick crazy hair with lots of curl. The best products I’ve found to work for me are for ethnic hair. I’ve been using gel to hold and define my natural curls for years and while it works, I’ve never liked the crunchiness. I had high hopes that this foam would give a softer definition. I was very disappointed. Not only did it not give any definition to any curls (not even one), but it made my hair very coarse, frizzy and feeling dry. Really, my hair was flying all over with no control or hold at all. It was a total mess. I’m still giving it a neutral 3 stars though as I do recognize my hair is difficult. Unfortunately with hair care products, what works well for one can be terrible for another. At least the price was very reasonable, compared to some products. Read more
