Meets the 9” x 14” x 22” dimensions for carryons on most airlines
I looked for months to find a reasonable priced carryon that met the dimensions of most airlines, is durable, and will roll well. So many “carryons” advertised as meeting the 22” height, but most of them do no when you include the wheels and handles. I was looking specifically for a carry that would not exceed 22” x 14” x9” dimensions most airlines require for carryon. I also wanted an outside pocket for travel documents or iPad and most hard sided luggage doesn’t comply. I am very satisfied with this carryon. It meets the dimensions, rolls well, has 3 outside pockets, is well made, has a sturdy collapsible handle to pull the bag, has a TSA lock where both zipper pulls go in, interlocking zipper pulls on the large front pocket to thwart a pickpocket, another pocket that is more visible, a smaller pocket on the front that isn’t readily seen except for the cute zipper pull, a side pocket with an expander for a water bottle, nice fabric lining that has a zipper where you could pack items under the fabric, matching packing cube with a mesh screen that fits perfectly width wise, smaller packing cube with clear plastic front, matching bag for shoes, handles on the top and the side, a vinyl pocket under the lid for wet items, nylon wheels for durability covered with a rubber type outer shell for silent rolling. The larger pocket on the outside is the same width and length as the lid, can hold a small laptop or tablet, and has pockets on the inside. The pocket doesn’t open very far but it isn’t very wide and isn’t intended to hold a lot. The smaller pocket on the front opens wider and has both zippered pockets and non-zippered pockets. The smallest pocket is a sleeve and is handy to slip in my phone, passport, and boarding pass going through TSA. If the front pockets are loaded with heavy items, the carryon may be prone to tipping over, so pack heavy items inside on the bottom. I’ll be covering the wheels with silicone wheel covers because the soft rubber-like covering doesn’t give me confidence for long wear. I would prefer the large pocket on the front opened wider, but this will do as long as I remember where I packed items. It is a soft-cover so it can be over packed, and that is a consideration if I intend to fly and the airline has one of those sizers. I always have a check-in bag so I don’t intend to use my carryon as additional luggage. I use it for my medical equipment, electronics, lithium batteries that can’t be in the checked-in luggage, meds, and items I may need for a couple of days in case my luggage gets lost. This luggage weighs 7 pounds and is a little heavier than I wanted, but the features have outweighed the weight issue. This luggage has several color options and other listings have just the luggage without any extras. I chose the gray to make it easy to spot. I believe this carryon will last for many travel trips over many years. Read more
