I was very hesitant about this bag. I was looking for a black bag that would stand up to the abuse I subject all my bags too. They have frequent flier miles and train miles :) Black bags can either handle it or they show the abuse quickly. I also needed something that was functional and looked appealing, I try to keep to a during the week bag which can handle day time and even some evening functions. This does it. The side snaps do make the bag smaller when needed, and wow does it handle carrying my laptop with no problems! I tend to not use the laptop compartments because they do hurt the bag over time so I don't like the bag compartment in the center - I prefer it on the side and I store files and whatnot there. The laptop I keep in the center compartment so it doesn't pull on the bag itself. The straps handle the added weight the laptop brings with no problem at all, I have no issue with them pulling or ripping. I have already been to 4 different cities and it does not show. I have gotten a few compliments on it - always nice :) It holds my owala water bottle and my owala coffee mug no problems. Highly recommend the bag. Read more
