I affixed a magnet on each windshield, bought an extra power cord for the other vehicle, and problem solved. My only concern is how well the sticky side will stay attached to the windshield. Worked just like the original Garmin ones do. I had one that wore out over time and this past summer it would fall off the windshield on the hottest days, so once i replaced it with this new one, it stays put and don't have to worry about it anymore. Easy to install of course, just stick it on the windshield and then hook your camera onto the other end. We had to replace the mount after getting our windshield replaced, and this fits our Garmin dash cam perfectly. Was easy to just peel off the adhesive backing and place where we wanted it, same as factory standard. Especially in colder months I’d suggest giving the adhesive some time to set before sticking the camera on. (We didn’t have any issues, this is just a good thing to do). So far is working great!
