Using the mouse on the computer constantly caused me to get carpal tunnel in my right wrist. The days that I would need to keep using the mouse, the pain was making it difficult. This helps to keep my wrist in a good position. It's comfortable and adjustable, so I can make it fit properly. The thickness of it takes a little getting used to, but I discovered that it kind of helps me keep my hand on the mouse properly so I don't cause myself more damage. I was looking for a wrist brace that would offer compression while allowing for range of motion, so this was perfect for my needs. The “coolprene” technology is legit: this has a breathable feel that allows me to wear this all day long and comfortably. Conventional neoprene feels hot and clammy after awhile, and this is a marked difference. There are two points of tightening: the inner Velcro that attaches the main piece, and the outer strap that allows for a deeper tightening. I can over tighten with this, but it’s so easily adjustable. I’m not using this for weight lifting, but for general compression and support. This provides a little bit of extra support while still allowing a good amount of flexibility and agility. I was still able to play tennis while wearing it on my primary arm. It does trap heat, so it can get a little warm, but if you need the support, it's a worthy tradeoff. I appreciate that there are two stages of putting it on. The wrist strap offers good compression and has a second velcro band to adjust the level of compression desired. I have pretty small wrists and found this wrist strap to be the ideal size for my wrist. My only complaint is that I was under the impression that I would be receiving a pair as opposed to a single wrist strap.
