I fell in love with Swedish dishcloths last year and have tried out quite a few different kinds. To be fair, they all seem to work about the same, be of the same quality, have the same durability and thickness. All the ones I've tried work great, as long as they start a little damp. I have cut down on my paper towel use by about 80% since I started using Swedish dishcloths. I usually use the cheap, popular brand, and I bought these Lucombs because they are more decorative. I dampen and leave these things on countertops around the kitchen so they are ready to go when I need them, which is often. I recommend the dampening, because this kind of cloth needs to be damp to be pliable, and when they are not damp, they don't react to a spill as fast. They clean great, and they clean off pretty well, too -- just this morning I cleaned up three small globs of wet, chunky cat puke in a single swipe, took the cloth to the sink, rinsed it, and put it right back on the countertop. I love these -- the patterns and the durability. You can wash them in the laundry and reuse them many times. They don't return to their pristine condition, but they don't lose their cleaning or absorbing ability. They work very well for cleaning and polishing and are less expensive than I've seen elsewhere. I was looking for some "bar mops" or dish cloths to replace ones I had that were just not doing the job when I saw these and ordered them. When they arrived, I was surprised that they were stiff, almost cardboard-feeling, but when I wet them, suddenly they were perfect dishcloths! I have used them to wash dishes as well as to clean counter tops. They are so much better than my regular cloth ones. Something to note: they do become stiff again when dry. Some reviews I saw had that as a strike against them, but I just drape mine over the divider between my sinks, they dry and get stiff, and then they look like any other dish cloth except they don't stay wet and get yucky. When I'm ready to use them, I just run them under some water and they are soft again. These are very pretty. I have used these sponge dishcloths for quite awhile. My older ones are colored but these are a really nice change. Flexible when wet, able to be laundered, and durable. Easy to use and clean well. Read more

I love Swedish dish cloths and ordered the Lucomb bird flower design when I was ready to replace my old ones. I have not been disappointed. They came in a pack of 8 colorful designs. I use Swedish dish cloths because they do not sour and smell quickly the way cotton ones do and they wash and dry well. Yes they are stiff when they come out of the dryer but soften immediately when wet. They are absorbent when cleaning up a spill and then rinse clean. They hold dish soap well when hand washing all your dishes, pots and pans. I will order this brand again when I need to replace these new ones. BTW, they make great, festive stocking stuffers! These little wash cloths are indestructible. Been using the first cloth for weeks. Just clip it to the dishwasher rack whenever I run the dishwasher. After a few weeks it picked up a few stains so soaked it in a little bleach water. Looks brand new. No more paper towel trash. I highly recommend this product. Read more
