My sons (12 &13) have always hated the mesh liner in swim trunks. As they have gotten older and grown bigger, I started looking for adult men's trunks without a mesh liner and stumbled upon these, because I only have my boys wear BRIGHT neon trunks for safety- I was nervous for the sizing as my boys wear a men's small or boys XL Husky. The size is great, and both of my sons said this is the most comfortable they have ever felt in swim trunks.
