I've never had aviators and bought these on impulse just to bring along as a spare pair of shades for a week in Arizona. Only after I landed in AZ did I realize I'd left my usual sunglasses on the dashboard 2000 miles away and these were what I'd be living with for a week in the desert. They don't feel cheap, the frames fit my big head well. Took a two hour roadtrip to PHX up to Sedona while we were there and they were great to drive in. The polarization seems perfectly fine, My eyes are sensitive even on a moderately bright cloudy day, so for me to have no complaints is a good sign. I'm unsure if other lens colors are different (I bought the amber ones) but mine gave everything an extra reddish-brown glow, which only made the red rock and hills look better anyway. Might be a negative to some but I loved it. For less than 20 bucks it's really hard to go wrong and I'll probably try another pair in a different color. Read more

Bought these primarily for night driving. These are nicely made quality looking glasses. They do help somewhat reducing glare from the blue/white headlights of newer vehicles. However, the polarization is not very effective against reflections from the dashboard. Read more
