The instructions were pretty straight forward and it took me and my boyfriend about 2 hours to put together. The parts were labeled effectively. Definitely make sure you have a box spring (I did). It's really sturdy. I've heard very minimal creaking when doing, ya know :). But really I love the look of the bed and very happy with my purchase. I'm doing the black walls so it fits perfectly.
