I love this massager! I had a broken finger, a dislocated finger, and damaged 2 others. This massager has been wonderful. It’s portable and easy to use. This is perfect for anyone with hand or wrist issues, carpal tunnel, swelling, etc. I love the heating and cooling settings. The heat is mainly in the wrist area though. Heat option is is weak. Charging cable(USBC) that was in the box did not work. I had to use one that I had. Was able to charge it then. I tried to contact customer service but have not heard back. Update : The company sent me another cable and it works well. The compression is good and massages the inside of my hand well. It has multiple choices for heat and amount of time can use it at least three times before it needs charging. Read more
I am ten weeks post op from Dupuytren's contracture surgery. Post surgical occupational therapy requires frequent massaging of the scar. It is tiring for my nonsurgical hand. I started researching these devices. I really needed something with the roller balls on the palm and the cheaper devices did not have this feature. After receiving and using the Lunix LX30, I could not be happier. I see great improvement in my scar. My surgical hand is getting much more therapy than if I was doing it myself. I've used the Lunix cordless hand massager for a month. Actually, I started writing a review two weeks ago and it wasn't going to be a good one. However, while I was writing the review, I was taking another look at the construction of the unit and found a knob on the bottom of the unit that merely says "on" or "off." Thinking it was a main switch so the massager couldn't accidentally get turned on, I turned it to the "off" position and, lo and behold, the pressure/compression I was never getting on my hand and fingers started working. I read through the instructions again and they say nothing about the switch. Now that I figured that out, it works like a charm. With the switch on the bottom of the unit set to "off" (which doesn't make sense to me), it squeezes and releases my fingers and hands. Add in the kneading function, and it is the perfect hand massage that has put me to sleep on several occasions. I also like the fact that I have the choice of heat or a fan for a cooling effect. My hands tend to sweat, so I love the cooling feature. Other features include: Time: Default is 15 minutes, but can be adjusted in 5-minute increments for 5 to 30 minutes. Massage: 7 modes - fingers, palm, wrist, fingers and palm, fingers and wrist, palm and wrist, or entire hand and wrist. Intensity: 6 air compression levels. Kneading: Default is "off" - press the button to set to forward or reverse kneading. Fan: Provides a cooling effect. It doesn't work with the heating function. Heating: 2 heat levels. Lowest level heats to 109 degrees and the highest level reaches about 120 degrees. The options on this unit are numerous and should provide the perfect hand massage to suit anyone's needs. It takes a little over three hours to charge. Using all the available options (full hand, high intensity, kneading, heat or cooling, and compression), the battery lasts about one and a half hours. It does have a battery level indicator that is easy to read. It also comes with everything you need - instructions, storage bag, charging cable and a charging block. The only negatives are that it weighs over 2.5 pounds and doesn't work while charging. Overall, it is quality made, has a long-lasting battery and is comfortable to use. I jumped on the chance to review this because my hands often get sore and cold—I have fibromyalgia. Unfortunately, the heat doesn’t really reach the advertised temperature. On low it says 110°F and on high 125°F, but it feels nowhere near that. For comparison, my foot warmer at 100°F feels much warmer. I don’t know if this one is defective, but it’s disappointing. The little plastic bumps inside also don’t feel great on my hands—maybe it’s just me being sensitive. I also wish the finger dividers were a bit shorter; my hand doesn’t fit in as comfortably as I’d like, and the dividers poke between my fingers. That said, the other features are nice, and I like that you can adjust everything to what’s comfortable. Note: there’s a switch on the bottom that acts as an emergency deflation button—it needs to be off for the device to inflate. I feel that at the current price of $135.97 is too high for this.
