These wide width ankle boots are exactly what I was hoping for. They fit comfortably right out of the box with plenty of room in the toe area—no pinching or breaking in needed. The ankle opening is generous without feeling sloppy, and they’re easy to slip on and off. They feel supportive and well-made, and I can wear them for hours without discomfort. I've only worn these once but they are now my new favorite shoe. I could never wear boots even if they said wide because by the end of the work day, my feet would hurt and swell. And I like inserts for better support, but trying to put inserts into already tight boots is impossible. So I gave up to trying to find boots. However, I decided to try these from reading the reviews saying how they were too big, and so glad I did! They do run larger than normal wide shoes, and probably slightly longer. I did contemplated sending them back for a smaller size than I normally wear, but once I put in inserts and socks, they fit great. And they were comfy throughout the whole work day. I can't speak to the longevity of them, but they do seem to be decently made, especially given the quality of items these days. Very comfortable, the cushioning is great. The foot width is truly wide and the toe box is roomy. The only drawback is the calf is not all that wide. I can zip them up, but just barely. If you have thicker calves, these may not be your best choice. Still they were very comfortable to wear and looked dressy enough for me. Read more

It feels as if it might not last... it's not solidly built. It does feel comfortable, and maybe that feeling I had is because it's a bit larger than I expected. My foot is moving around in there but that's not the fault of the shoe. The main problem is that the zipper is very small and this is definitely not a boot you can easily slide your foot into. You have to make sure the zipper is open, slide your foot in, than close the zipper. So you're bending down to do that and I kind of didn't want to do that. Also, the bottom feels like it just might slip on the snow (light flurries, that is. I would not wear this in heavy snow). It does look very nice and has nice lines and the color is great. It looks good once your feet are in. So, those are pluses. Anyway, I will return this, but might go for a smaller size at some point in the future. Read more
