Nice fabric,100% poly, flexible/tensile like rayon or tencel, which is nice and allows the 2 short pleats to lie flat; color as shown, a matte finish (not shiny). The style is what I was looking for - a little dressy, a little long, to wear with 2" heels to a graduation ceremony in the south. I'm 5'4 1/2" tall, weigh 139lbs. The size Medium is a bit snug at the waist, but not intolerable as it has wide elastic in back from side to side, and just the right amount of looseness everywhere else to look dressy & respectful. [Speaking of which, I will wear Spanx as a jiggly bottom would definitely show through the thin fabric (yuck), not see-thru though.] I don't tuck in my shirts anyway, so I can live with snugness, but it does have belt loops if you do tuck. I purchased a small I’m 5 feet 135 to 140 pounds a perfect fit. They are made of good quality material. The appearance is very dressy. The color are very nice. Fabric is very nice and the fit length is perfect for me. I purchased quite a few of them in different colors very good purchase. I’m pleased with them. Will be purchasing some more soon. I ordered several of these shorts in size 2X. They almost fit, but the waist was too tight. I usually wear a size 1X or size 2X, so I went with the size 2X. I was so excited when I received them, but when I tried them on, the waist was too tight. Disappointed, I then returned them and replaced them with size 3X. Same result. They fit, but the waist is too tight. I am so disappointed because these shorts are so beautiful, but there's no way they'll fit around the waist. If you're sizes 1X, 2X, or 3X, don't buy. Read more

These shorts fit an inch or two above my knee cap. I’m 5’1” around 135 lbs, and the size small fit well! It is a little tight on my waist, but with the stretchiness on the back of the short band - I don’t mind because the overall fit is what I wanted. If that would bother you, and you’re inbetween sizes for the waist area, and don’t want the shorts tight - I would say to size up. Especially is you’re taller than me (5’1”).
