Very nice, have stretch. A tiny bit see through, very, very subtle though, just wear light colored undies with the white. I do live them. They feel high quality. I am a small and they are true to size. They are flattering in that they cover the thighs without looking old fashioned. Actually with the seams and tie bow, they look very in style and classy. The pockets are good sized (go to my wrist). I have a generous bottom and even they are a size small they work. I am 5'1, 130 lbs and the small worked nicely. They feel and look very high quality. Minus a star for sizing! Unfortunately I am returning these. They are made very well and the style is perfect but sizing is way off. At least for me, I am a size 16 or 18 depending on brand these were too small fit me like a size 14. If you ware a size 16 and like a tighter fit they may work for you but size 18 girlies I suggest size up to xxl. ( I am 5’4” and 183 lbs. carry my weight in my waist and hips.) These shorts are almost perfect for me! Here’s why- 1) They are SO comfy! The material is thick, very soft, mostly cotton but with a little stretch, it’s like my ideal fabric content! My legs are far from perfect, and I have plenty of cellulite, but the fabric hides it all because the fabric thickness and quality is wonderful. 2) The length is so nice. Yes, they do look like “mom shorts” but they roll up (and stay put!) nicely if you want to make them shorter. I like the length personally, because I don’t like showing a lot of thigh. 3) They feel very well made. Yes, I got this pair for free, but I’m so impressed I might actually buy them in another color. But, I might go up a size. Which brings me to my final thought and why they are ”almost” perfect for me. 4) They are not ideal for curves like hips and booty. If you have a straighter figure, they’d be perfect for you. I have an 11” difference between my waist and my hips, so while the waist is actually perfectly comfortable and almost loose, they feel tight across my backside. I wear size 8 jeans, and I went with the Medium in these. They fit well everywhere except my hips/booty. They are a bit tight right now, but I do think the fabric will stretch and relax enough to look and feel better as I wear them. (Especially if I sit down for awhile.) So, I’ll see how these stretch after wearing them for a whole day before I decide whether or not to get a Large next time. To sum up- if you like longer shorts, and have a straighter (less curvy) figure, you will want these in every color! Read more
I ordered the Luvamia Bermuda Shorts and have been really impressed with them overall. The first thing I noticed was how well made they are. The construction feels solid and thoughtful, especially the front seaming, which adds a tailored look and helps the shorts lay nicely without feeling stiff. The tie waist is another great detail—it’s functional but also gives the shorts a polished, put-together appearance rather than looking overly casual. One of my favorite features is the waistband. It’s very comfortable and has elastic built in, but it’s hidden in the back so it doesn’t look obvious or bunchy. That makes a big difference in how flattering the shorts are, especially when worn with a tucked-in top. They sit well at the waist without digging in, which I really appreciate for all-day wear. The length is perfect on me—slightly above the knee—which feels just right for Bermuda shorts. They strike a nice balance between being modest and still feeling summery and stylish. I ordered the Red Clay color, which I absolutely love. It’s more of an orangish red than a true red, and I’d almost describe it as a deep coral. It’s definitely not a dark red at all—there’s more orange than red—but the color is vibrant and perfect for summer. Overall, these shorts are very well made and flattering. I would suggest considering sizing up. I ordered a large, which is my typical size, but I think an extra large might have fit just a bit more comfortably. These are wonderful Bermuda style shorts. There isn't a thing about them that I don't like and here are the main features that I love: ~ Perfect fit. True to size. ~ Great looking ~ Sooooo comfortable. I've worn them about 10 times since I received them and because of the little bit of stretch in the fabric they move well with exercise, hiking, gardening, and simply everyday wear. I've gotten lots of compliments on them and people ask where I got them. ~ I love the color! ~ The closure clasp is very easy to deal with and lays flat so there isn't any bulky snap or button to take away from the slim fit style. ~ The fabric drawstring tie is a nice touch. The fabric for the tie is a nice thickness but it can either be tied or simply folded over if you're wearing a shirt over the shorts. ~ The length is truly a Bermuda-style and is attractive ~ These do well through the laundry and come out of the dryer looking like I ironed them. They do not wrinkle easily. ~ They will travel well; so great for week-end trips or vacations. ~ These shorts look great paired with t shirts or blouses or even a turtleneck in slightly cooler weather. ~ I like that they come in various color choices.
