The paper bag waist and patch pocket detail give them a trendy, modern look. However, at 5’2”, this cut just wasn’t the most flattering on my frame. The cropped wide-leg style combined with the high waist felt a bit overwhelming on my height, and the proportions didn’t quite work for me personally. The denim itself has some stretch and feels comfortable, and the quality seems good overall. I think these would look great on someone taller or with a different body proportion. These jeans are a bit unusual, but I rather like them. I ordered the black ones, and the color is a little lighter right out of the package than black jeans usually are, like they've already seen a bit of wear. I usually go for boot-cut rather than wide leg, but I liked the playful feel of the fit on these. The waistline isn't quite like anything I've ever worn before; it took me a few tries to find tops that I thought looked good with the scrunchie-style waist. This pair of cropped, paper bag waist jeans are well made and fun. The fabric is 73% cotton, 25.4% polyester, and 1.6% elastane. They are closer to a medium thickness than a thin one, in my opinion. They are soft and have enough stretch that they are comfy to wear. There are 4 patch pockets that are functional, but a little small. Personally, I think the smaller pockets look nicer when doing patch pockets on jeans. The button and zipper work smoothly without any snags or being overly stiff. The Washed Black color looks good and does not arrive with an overpowering odor from the dye. They have no bad odor to them at all! The paper bag waist style is something I have not tried before. It does feel different, and at the same time it's very comfortable. I was trying them on and noticed the button was lower down from the top of the jeans than any others I have. It does make for a different feeling around my waist with that looser "bag-like" part above the elastic and button area. Not in a bad way. They're less constricting and more comfortable, actually. I ordered these jeans in a size XL, which is my regular size. The waist is snug, but comfortable without any pinching or binding. The length is almost a normal length on me due to my shortness. For reference: I'm 5' 4" tall, 33-ish waist, 44" hips and 182 lbs. These are cute, nice quality cropped jeans and I will recommend them. There are several shades of blue along with the washed black and cream white to choose from. The current price (1-25-2026) of $36.99 is a bit expensive for cropped jeans, in my opinion. I absolutely love these luvamia wide leg cropped jeans. This brand has honestly become one of my go to favorites. These pants are super comfy, they are really soft and stretchy in the waist. I would say order up in size. I normally wear a size 6-8 in pants i ordered a medium which they say is a 8-10 and they fit a bit tight almost. If i had ordered my normal size then they would have been either too small or too tight. Other then ordering up in size these are great pants. Read more
