Soothing tea

This was my first purchase from Luxmi, and I’m genuinely delighted! My doctor recently recommended ashwagandha for stress and sleep support, so I was thrilled to discover it available as a loose-leaf tea. As someone who drinks tea every single day, I’m always looking for outstanding quality, rich flavor, meaningful health benefits, and real value—organic is a big bonus, but I’ve learned that a higher price doesn’t always mean a better product. This ashwagandha tea checks every box: the flavor is smooth, earthy, and genuinely enjoyable (no bitterness or aftertaste), and I can feel good knowing I’m getting the herb’s benefits in a pure, natural form. It’s exactly what I was hoping for, at a price that feels fair. Read more

Great gift for my Husband!

My Husband has recently been feeling that mental slump that seems to come with getting a little older, and the aches and pains that come with it. He works outside for a lot of the day, and likes something warm to drink that isn’t coffee. This tea seemed like it might fit the bill. I liked this tea for the ginger and the turmeric, since I know they both have great anti-inflammatory properties, and thought it could help. The Ashwaganda and potential help with mental clarity couldn’t hurt, either, right? We have been very pleased with this tea! It tastes great! Not overpowering, but very robust. Because it’s caffeine-free he can drink it any time of day or night and not worry about it affecting sleep, or causing him to be jittery. We got a good amount of tea, and the price was very good. We will definitely be buying more when this tin runs out, and will probably be picking up more from this brand, as well. Read more

Bad flavor

I have been buying Jasmine loose green tea for years. I was initially attracted to the lovely scent and even the taste of the jasmine that came with it. But a few years ago I noticed that the flavor and taste of the jasmine was gone. I bought numerous brands other than the one I was used to buying hoping to get the scent, etc., back. Alas, not to be. Every packet I purchased had dried jasmine flowers in it, dried before they were put in with the tea. Unfortunately dried jasmine flowers smell like straw and make the tea taste like straw. This tea used to be made with fresh jasmine petals. Not any more apparently. This brand advertised that it included jasmine extract in the tea. I thought that this might restore the flavor. I stuck my nose over the bag as soon as I opened it, and my nose was assaulted by a very chemical scent. It smelled like alcohol which makes sense if the extract were prepared in alcohol. I actually made up a cup hoping against hope that I would find the tea palatable. Nope again. It was undrinkable.. I threw it out and will seek to get my money back. One thing is for sure - a few years back "something" happened to the world's supply of jasmine tea. It seems that no one is using fresh jasmine flowers to scent the tea. And they are trying to substitute this straw tasting tea as if it were the same thing. Not even close. Read more
