What they don't tell you is that the product comes in 3 separate pieces of wood held together by dowel rods, and the brackets for hanging the shelf hold the pieces of wood together. Fair enough... It would be nice if the brackets were spaced 16" apart so you could hit more than 1 stud, IYKYK. The brackets cannot be moved. Also the screw heads strip really easy. I had good bit on the drill. I ended up buying a 3/4" piece of wood to put under the brackets, that way it would at least hold some weight. The toggle bolt and only hitting 1 stud were not going to cut it. Once it was up it looked fine, once I figured out a better mounting strategy than what the packaging provided. Read more
