I love the idea of this portable PS5 controller charger. I used it on my brand new dualsense controller. The charger comes with an instruction booklet which I appreciate. This made it easy for me to learn how to use it properly. The LED display clearly shows the amount of battery life available on the charger, which is awesome. The battery pack comes with a foam adhesive spacer for edge controllers. I do not own any edge controllers so I could not test this feature. I wish that the cord provided to charge the battery pack was longer because if I need to plug it into the wall to charge, it will hang from the outlet. I also wish that it came with an outlet box so that I could plug it into the surge protector to charge. Luckily, I have a surge protector that has a USB port on it. I was able to charge it that way. Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience while attempting to charge my controller. I connected it to my brand new controller while the battery pack was charged to 97%. I removed it once the charge on the battery pack said 10%. After “charging” via this battery pack, my controller did not even have enough battery to turn on. As a result, I then connected my controller to the PS5 to charge using the cord that came with the PS5. It charged fully. In all, this battery pack did not charge my controller at all. Because of this, I will give this a 3 star review. I am going to give it another chance and see if it will recharge my controller once it is near dead. I am thinking that maybe the battery pack is not powerful enough to charge a controller that had never been charged before. I will provide an updated review once I conduct this test. Read more
