This particular variant is bleach-free but still claims to kill 99.9% of germs, which is perfect for me because I’m not a huge fan of the strong bleach smell. The gel is a vivid blue color and thick enough to really cling to the bowl. The “Max Coverage” design isn’t just a gimmick – the nozzle dispenses a nice wide stream that coats under the rim and the sides of the bowl as you squeeze and circle it around. I usually let it sit for about 10 minutes to penetrate. There’s a bit of a chemical scent (to be expected), but it’s not overwhelming or super bleachy. Then I scrub with a toilet brush as usual. This cleaner has tackled everything I’ve thrown at it: mineral deposits, that yucky toilet ring, and general stains. One of our toilets had some persistent rust-colored staining near the water line (from iron in our water). After a couple of uses of Lysol Power, it significantly faded, and now with regular use, it’s completely gone. It cleans under the rim well too; I can see the gel sticking there while it works. I like that it’s thick, because even in the water, it doesn’t just immediately dilute – you can tell it’s grabbing onto grime and removing it.
