Multi Cable That Actually Has An EMarker Chip and Has Enough Power To Be Useful

CustomerJanuary 21, 2026

I've been looking for a multi cable that could replace three separate charging cables plugged into my brick, one for my iPhone and iPad, one Lightning, and one Micro‑USB. This is the only multi‑cable I could find that actually replaces all three, has enough charging power and PD to handle my ipad and iPhone, and it’s long enough to reach from the back of my desk to where I can grab it easily. This is the ONLY cable I've been able to find to do all that. The build quality is better than I expected. The braided cable feels dense and flexible, not the flimsy kind that starts fraying after a few weeks. The dark green color is a nice touch too, it’s unusual and fits right into the vibe of my worktop instead of looking like another generic black cable. The charging performance is where this stands out from most multi‑cables. A lot of these 3‑in‑1 designs top out at 60W or even 15W because they don’t include an E‑marker chip. This one actually supports full 100W USB‑C Power Delivery, which is rare in a cable that also gives you Lightning and Micro‑USB. The E‑marker negotiates REAL fast charging on the USB‑C leg, so my iPad and other modern devices charge at the speeds they’re supposed to. Lightning and Micro‑USB obviously don’t use PD, but they charge at the fastest rates those connectors support, which is all I need for the older gear and small lamps I still keep around and need only occasional charging anyway. A detail I appreciate, where the three cables merge into one, the plastic junction is clearly branded “M.A.D LAB.” That’s actually helpful, because if I ever want another one or run into an issue, I’ll remember exactly where it came from. Most multi‑cables don’t bother with branding in a useful place. My only complaint is that the cable doesn’t list the wattage or specs anywhere on it. Since it supports high‑power charging, it would’ve been nice to have that printed somewhere for quick reference. Not a dealbreaker, but it’s the one thing I’d change. Overall, this is an excellent cable if you want to replace multiple cords with one that’s long, durable, and actually capable of fast charging. It does exactly what I bought it for and does it well. Decent cable that does anything (one device at a time)

One cable to rule them all, only downside is it won't charge my MacBookPro 14" if I plug in anything else, even an ultra slow micro-usb device Read more

fast charging with multiple charging options

PetersJanuary 17, 2026

i like this new charging cable, my old one 5' (1yr old) has become really stiff and the connection @ the usb-c plug is breaking causing charging to start & stop. so i was looking for a braided cable for more flexibility and with the triple connections i thought would be a bonus. seems well made. when i ordered it i thought it was 3 usb-c plugs, but to my surprise when opening it , it has 3 different plugs 1-usb-c, 1 micro-usb and 1 lighting plug for apple. which was great to see! because i use all 3 types, as seen in the !st pictures i was able to charge my phone, 9th gen. ipad and a flashlight simutaneously with out any issues or interuptions in charging.(i plugged the power end into a google pixel 45w usb-/ac plug adapter) i do use the cable @ night in bed for the phone and though i would like it to be a tad longer, it is flexable and usb-c fits into the phone snug, my phone even said @ bottom "fast charging" which i had never seen before with other cables i use, including the one that came with the phone, it was plugged into a random 5v usb-c/ac adapter. but the 3 tipped end is a bit is a bit noticable when i am just using the phone alone and charging it i have the other 2 connections flopping around as i use my phone when connected, not any reason to change my rating but just wanted to note theres a bit more (bulk) sorta speak when holding your phone while charging. but so far very happy . PRO'S : 1. the variety of usb plugs 2. the braided cable seems more pliable/flexible 3. it does charge fast 4. ability to charge 3 devices simultaneously with 3 different usd connections.. 5. seems well made and the green is a nice color CONS: so far none really to speak of yet, except when using your phone while charging it, you do have deal with the other two plugs flopping around and the triforcation of the 3 plugs is fairly large seen in 2nd pic. Works with CarPlay!

AmandaFebruary 6, 2026

My husband has an older iPhone with a lightning connection but we typically use my car for longer drives so it gets annoying swapping the cable every time. I’ve tried some of the convertible ones but it usually doesn’t take long for them to start losing connection if the adapters are even remotely jostled. This is a much easier solution. I’m a big fan of the three separate heads. The top part of the cable is a little short after the split so it’s hard to have more than one thing plugged in at once but that’s not a huge problem for me. I primarily use it for my car and to charge a few things in the kitchen. In those cases, I only have one thing plugged in at a time but now I only need to have one cable on hand instead of three. The braided cable seems reasonably durable. I don’t stress them particularly hard during typical use but no sign of fraying so far. The head fit into the various ports securely and handle data transmission adequately. I’ve been having a hard time finding a cable with both USB c and lightning that can handle CarPlay but this one fits the bill. It is a usb c connection on the other end which is a bit annoying for the car but a usb an adapter took care of that problem. It seems to get a decent charging speed. I don’t get the slow charger notification on my phone though I haven’t tried it with something more power intensive like a laptop. The price seems pretty reasonable for this style of multi cable that can handle data. Read more
