My 11-year-old son is a serious tech/gadget kid and his backpack always weighs a ton because of everything he carries — a Steam Deck, phone, earbuds, smartwatch, etc. On long dance competition weekends he has a lot of downtime between performances and was constantly running out of power. This battery pack solved that problem. He’s been using it daily for about a month and absolutely loves it. It keeps everything charged and he hasn’t run out of battery once during those long competition days. One feature he really likes is the 3-digit numeric battery gauge. Instead of vague bars, it shows the exact remaining percentage. The display is LED so it’s visible even in dark auditoriums or backstage areas, which is actually pretty useful. Charging performance is excellent. When charging his Samsung phone the device reports “Super Fast Charging,” whereas our other power banks only trigger standard “Fast Charging.” Since he usually has several devices that need charging, the faster charging speed helps him cycle through them much more quickly. This power bank also supports pass-through charging, meaning it can charge devices while it is being charged itself. When doing this it steps the output down to regular “Fast Charging,” which is a reasonable trade-off. It can also charge multiple devices simultaneously using the available ports. The port layout is: • 1 × USB-A (output) • 1 × USB-C (input/output) • 1 × integrated USB-C cable The built-in cable is braided and about 5.5” long, and it doubles as a small carrying strap. One potential long-term concern is that since this cable is integrated it cannot be replaced if it eventually fails. Because of that my son actually avoids using it as a hand strap and only uses it as a cable to reduce wear. The product listing dimensions appear to be incorrect. I measured the unit at: • 3.8” H • 2.6” W • 1.2” D It weighs 10.4 oz, which my son considers light compared to the rest of the gear he carries, so it’s easy to just throw in his bag and forget about until he needs it. The device label lists the following specifications: Model: M102 Capacity: 20000 mAh (77 Wh) Battery Type: Li-polymer USB-C input/output (PD up to 35W): 5V⎓3A 9V⎓3A 12V⎓2.92A 15V⎓2.33A 20V⎓1.75A USB-A output (up to 30W): 5V⎓3A 9V⎓3A 10V⎓2.25A 12V⎓2.5A The device has several compliance marks printed on it including FCC, CE, RoHS, recycling symbols, and the crossed-out wheeled bin (WEEE). Just as a quick FYI: marks like FCC, CE, and RoHS are mostly manufacturer self-declarations that the product meets certain regulatory requirements. They aren’t the same thing as independent safety testing. For electronics, certifications that usually indicate third-party safety testing are things like UL or ETL. I didn’t see those on this unit. That’s pretty common for power banks, but it’s helpful to understand what the different marks actually mean. One amusing side note: the unit we received is pink. My son normally prefers darker colors for his gadgets, but he likes the performance of this battery so much that he’s willing to tolerate the color. Overall this has been an excellent power bank for someone who carries multiple devices and needs high capacity and fast charging in a compact package. Read more

It is a nice battery bank with a lot of capacity in a rather small form factor. I remember it was not so long ago that a battery of similar capacity was two to three times as large and charged at half of these speeds. Despite being rather small for the capacity, it is still a pretty chunky battery as far as thickness goes and although it certainly could fit in a pocket, it is best for a bag. The speeds are nice but all of the ports do not charge at the same speeds. This is typical of ports on batteries, but most of the more trusted brands will at least tell you what each port does. It is very unfortunate, because the attached cable on this battery only does 15W, which is fine in a jiffy, but very far behind the full 35W. The USB C port offers the full 35W, so you have to carry around an additional cable to get the full charging speeds. I have not tested the usb a port speeds, but I never carry around USB A cables anyways. The orientation of the ports is a bit interesting too. Usually battery banks have the ports situated such that you can just hold the battery flat behind your phone and all the ports will line up nicely. The USB A port does line up nicely like this, but the usb c port is on the side and perpendicular, so shorter or flat cables are harder to plug in. The attached usb c is also perpendicular so you have to rotate it to get it into a phone port while holding the battery flat. It is possible but you have to bend the cable in a way that it clearly resists bending in. Otherwise everything else is very nice, it has a great capacity. I like the color, very few manufacturers offer stuff in nice light purples it seems. It is a reasonable size and great for topping up without worries. It is a very nice versatile battery and has replace a number of batteries I own to become my main power bank carried. Read more
