I honestly like this Macally Wired Keyboard for Mac better than Appleโs own keyboard. The keys feel smooth and responsive, with just the right amount of feedback when typing. I love that it has a full numeric keypad , super helpful for work and everyday use. It connected instantly, no setup needed, and the build feels solid and high-quality. For the price, this keyboard is such a great find reliable, comfortable, and stylish. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a better alternative to the Apple keyboard! Read more

I love it. It works with my Mac perfectly. Still getting used to the length which is longer than my Mac keyboard. It connected right away and Iโm not particularly computer literate. Read more
6 Month Update: The keyboard still functions as well as before, however a bunch of keys have started losing their labels (CMD/Alt, A, and C, especially). I think if you have anything other than nub-short fingernails, you can expect this to happen to you. 1 Week Update: It took me a while to realize the Numpad layout is slightly different than on a full-size Apple Keyboard; this one has the -, extra large + and enter keys on the right side, whereas the Apple Keyboard is *,-,+,enter. Macally's layout isn't uncommon but, again, if you're using this to replace an Apple Keyboard it'll take some getting used to. This is the perfect compromise for me, as I am addicted to having a numpad. However, ergonomically they are challenging as it requires me to shift my extra wide keyboard to the left, and have to move my right hand much further from the mouse to type (which usually means my right arm will be unsupported by my desk chair's arms while i'm typing). Switching from a traditional full-size Apple keyboard, there are a few things I'll need to adjust to. There are obviously differences in layout as this keyboard is basically a hybrid of Apple's full-size keyboard, and their TKL version. It has a FN button like the TKL version, for example, which means the bottom left function keys are squished. However, in the Apple TKL keyboard, the CMD button is wide, while the FN button is narrow; in this keyboad, the FN button is wide, and the CMD button is narrow. Since the left CMD button is arguably the most used modifier key on an Apple Keyboard, I think they should have prioritized it as wider. The keyboard's main area is the same length horizontally, but it is a little vertically squished compared to my full-size Apple keyboard, by about half an inch. I don't know if squishing it vertically adds any real practical benefits, meanwhile it has caused me some mistypes. I feel confident I'll be used to it after a week of usage. Two other observations I had: 1) There's a slight concave upwards curve that I'd never seen in a keyboard before. It's not unpleasant. 2) The keys are a tiny bit louder (a more lower-pitched "thunk"), and feel a little spongier. Overall, it's sturdy enough at the price point, and every extra function works just like on a Mac Keyboard (there are a few shortcuts that might need to be reprogrammed, but the included manual gave instructions for it). Good replacement product for the money. My old one lasted a few years and this one hopefully will last until the device dies. It works great and I like the slick design. It's very compact and works for me. Read more
Keyboard was extremely lightweight and a good value, but returned bc the arrow buttons made no sense to me, crammed in as an afterthought. They would have required looking down. As a designer who was trying to replace an iMac keyboard, it had to go back. Read more
We have five of these keyboards in our office setup. The slim, space-saving design and numeric keypad make them practical for everyday tasks, and theyโre fully compatible with Mac devices. The keys are responsive and typing is generally comfortable. However, for some of our team members, extended use caused minor hand fatigue, so it may not be ideal for everyone who types for long periods. Overall, they are reliable, functional, and well-suited for a shared office environment, but not completely ergonomic for all users. Read more
Had an older Mac Mini I was playing with and wanted a Mac style keyboard. This one worked well. Sold the computer after a few months as I didn't need it anymore, but throughout that time, I didn't have the dead key issues other reviewers mentioned. Read more
