I just got my keyboard a couple hours ago and here is my review: I've been wanting a separate keyboard to use with my 2017 15in touchbar Macbook Pro because, let's face it, the Macbook Pro keyboard is absolutely horrendous. I'm an engineering undergrad and write and code a lot, so I wanted an external keyboard and mouse. I already had a Logitech mouse which loved but I had to connect to the Macbook via an adapter because Apple decided the Macbook shall only have USB C ports. And then I found this keyboard... Took about 5 seconds to set it up (not exagerating even a bit, the process was seemless. It's a wired keyboard (USB-C, with an attached USB adapter - great idea, and nice touch) which is perfect because I don't have to worry about battery or blutooth connection failures. The keyboard even comes with an extra USB and 2 extra USB C ports which allows me to connect my mouse directly to the keyboard's USB port without having to plug the adapter to the Macbook. Because it has a Mac layout, and almost exactly the same dimensions as my Macbook, it took me no time to get used to it. Now, let's talk about the feels: It feels really really good. Just like the good old mechanical keyboards. The keys have a very satisfying travel amount (the amount in length which the keys are pressed in), and it is relatively thin, hence very much portable, and will take no space in my backpack. Very elegant and minimalist design while preserving a great deal of functionality and practicality. The colors are also beautiful with a pretty dark gray/black combination. The keys also have a very pleasant sound that is neither too loud nor too silent. The quality is impressive, as the keys are firm. The larger keys such as the Space bar, return, shift, delete can be pressed at any point and will register perfectly. I also love the fact that the keys are slightly concave down, never had a keyboard like this, and I love it. I was afraid to lose the 3 finger swipe up/down/left/right functionality of the Macbook's touchbar to switch between windows but thankfully the F3 key of the Macally does exactly that, and I can switch even faster when combined with my mouse. The 4 rubber supports at the bottom of the keyboard are quite effective in that they prevent sliding very well. Brightness +/-, volume +/-, on/off etc are all there. As well as one button copy and one button paste keys, F5 and F6. This was exactly what I needed and I felt like I had to drop a review though I almost never do. I think the only missing thing from this amazing keyboard is that the keys aren't backlit. That's literally the only thing I can think of that it's lacking, but it will by no means prevent me from giving it a 5 star. Good job to Macally, and many thanks. Read more

Works perfectly with my MacBook Air. Very tactically satisfying keyboard. It makes me want to sit down and type on the computer. Would highly recommend. This keyboard is about the same size, maybe a bit smaller than the built-in keyboard. Great for small desks but if you have the room, I would recommend a larger size. Good value for the money and easy to set up - you plug it in! Read more

I am using the keyboard right now to type on my new IPad Pro M4. Itโs great versus using thumbs when thereโs the need to type a lot. I was hoping the ability to plug in extra devices would allow me to use a mouse with the IPad, but a mouse locks up Safari. This is a known iPad problem, even using a new Apple Smart Keyboard with touchpad, the touchpad also locks up Safari. Maybe a future IOS upgrade will fix this. So, I recommend this keyboard with the caveat that adding a mouse might lock up your IPad Pro m4 when using Safari. Not a problem for me, the keyboard itself is great. I like that it is wired, not rechargeable like Appleโs external keyboard, this never needs charging or batteries. It looks nice, doesnโt take up much space, and it works well. Read more

You ever bought something on a whim and then just find the tactile experience so satisfying that you wonder why that was never a part of your decision making criteria? lol Well, that's what this device is.. I originally bought it thinking it will bump my productivity a bit more but honestly it's the tactile feedback that is crazy awesome! Build quality is good too. I have big hands so it's not the easiest keyboard to use, but I also didn't want a giant ergonomic keyboard so it's a good compromise between size & ease of use. Typing speed seems ok.. not a significant enhancement over mac's internal keyboard. Read more

Not a c USB connection to macair, so use an Apple Store bought multi hub connection, and it works spotty at best, at worst doesn't work. The connection light blinks when its accessory is already set at automatically connect, and then goes dark. When I connect the wired mouse to the Apple Store brought multi-hub connection it works just fine. So it's not the hub, but the keyboard connection. When it works, it works fine, but I can't use it if it suddenly stops working, or it doesn't want to connect at all. Laptop only has c USB connections so I need to use a hub for it to work. This happens using a ANKER hub too. Same situation with the Apple Store hub. Wired mouse works just fine, but this keyboard doesn't. Also, keys are not backlit, so it's difficult to see in a dark space. I have the keyboard under my laptop as it's on a stand. Updated: So I did some research and keyboards need a powered hub to work, and the ANKER 8 to 1 nor 7 to 1 although it said powered really isn't powered. So I got another hub that has a c connection from the hub to computer and a power cord to my surge protector. Now the keyboard works fine. Anyway, if. your hub is not connected to a power source your keyboard will have intermittent service. Read more

Love this little guy. Yes its wired but thats a feature, not a bug. I like to use my mac mini like a portable PC, and this is basically my USB hub. I slap my USB A dongle for my mouse into this keyboard, plug the keyboard in to the front of my mac mini and I am set. I have a portable USB C monitor that I slap into the other slot and boom, I have my computer up and running, whether I am at the airport or a hotel room or downstairs (outside my gaming room) so I can keep an eye on the kid while my wife goes shopping. This keyboard has sold me on small form factor keyboards. Read more
