After moving into a new house and having an array of mismatched furniture, our last piece to tie the living room together was the cocktail table. I spent countless hours searching for the perfect rectangular coffee table. I was hesitant to order this coffee table because I thought it was too good to be true. I assembled it myself with little effort. The directions were easy to understand and there really wasn't much to it! The table top was my biggest concern - it is extremely sturdy and a white melamine type material. It's sleek and smooth but without being glossy. This piece was packaged very well. This is the easiest piece of furniture to put together (attach the legs and the base and tighten the screws, that’s it!). The wood is solid and extremely sturdy and it is a nice warm brown color. I was a little hesitant to purchase because some reviewers said the top wasn’t actually white, but my piece is white. Update March 2023 The top is finally starting to show some scratches after 4 years of very heavy use. I like it so much I ordered a replacement table. I'm sending it back. I don't like the new color of the table top. It is a greenish grayish white, not like the photo which is a beautiful creamy white. I'm very disappointed. Update; March 2021. After two years of heavy use this table is still going strong. It looks perfect still. We take so little care and it just doesn't scratch or stain. Such a winner! **** I am so happy with this coffee table! I was set on getting real marble and originally bought this same style table from West Elm for triple the price which didn't work out. I was back at square one. I was hesitant about the Madison Park because of the painted top. But I love it! A lot! Such a nice creamy white color. It doesn't seem to require coasters, no spotting, no chipping. The walnut wood color is really beautiful. Although this is my 3rd table. The first two arrived dented in the corner. Somebody must have dropped the box even though they were well packaged. BUT, the 3rd try is the charm. It is perfect! Amazon was wonderful about returning the other two. Picked them up from my house. The table itself is fairly sturdy and easy to assemble, that being said the quality of the tabletop is horrible. It has scuffs, dents, scratches, bubbling laminate, and random predrilled holes. It’s been three days and no action from customer support. Do not buy this product. Read more

I ordered this table hoping that it might do 'OK' in my space - and it exceeded expectations! The top is a sturdy / heavy material and although I am worried about future staining, it appears as though it would be easy to clean. I personally hate the look of faux marble, so the fact that this table brings a bright and airy look via the white top is a huge plus - WITHOUT looking like cheap vinyl! The color of the wood is beautiful, it isn't cool, but isn't extremely warm either and worked great with various other wood toned furniture in my apartment. The size / height is good as well.
