I wear a men's size MEDIUM in jackets and sweaters. This one appears well made and looks good, however I find it a bit too snug, and I am NOT more than 12-15 lbs overweight, and at an honest 5'8" I fully expected it to be cut a little larger and in line w my other older M size outerwear. I am subtracting ONE star for that reason. It seems warm enough and water resistant enough for my normal use. If you also prefer a little more room, go a size up. This jacket popped up as a suggestion by Amazon when I was searching for a heavier jacket. The description looked good, so I ordered it. I am very impressed by the material, including sturdy zipper, and comfort. It has a warm lining, and is truly rain resistant. In addition, I like the fit; I order size medium on anything long sleeved, due to short arms, and sometimes the garments are too tight across the chest or belly (as a large would do better for that); in this case, the fit is quite good, well-suited for a jacket that goes over clothing.
