This is an excellent general purpose blender. It has enough power to liquify, even though the blades are left intentionally dull. It's a steal for the price. Some people will feel it's just a cheap blender at their first impression because it's plastic, including the top, but it's designed to be extremely lightweight and trivially easy to clean. In other words, the more you use it, the more you'll like it. By the way, some people have complained that it's junk and that it burned out its motor on the first use. That's not what's actually happened in the majority of these cases. The blender has an automatic shutoff to keep its motor from overheating, in case it has been left running too long. With a straightforward control, this relatively quiet blender effectively blends and liquifies everything I need it for - sauces, soup, fruit. Nothing fancy, it works very well and sells at a reasonable price. The suction cups underneath its base are excellent at keeping it in place while its blending away but can make it "sticky" to move around on smooth counters. A well made blender. I would have given a 5th star if the container were made of glass instead of high impact plastic. I clean it by hand rather than the dishwasher for that reason. No discoloration of the plastic and all parts are otherwise easy to clean. It doesn't leak in proper use and has excellent power even breaking down nut to a fine milling. Handles plenty of ice, if you pay attention to how it is layered with the ingredients. I have used it for nearly a year with absolutely no regrets. The motor even shuts off, timing out, in case you leave the room or don't wish to stand over it making the noise that any blender might expect to make. After using personal blenders for a year, I broke down and bought the magic bullet. My personal blender would die or shut off because of the weirdest things and did not break up the ice the way I like it to.. The magic bullet blender is much more powerful, and is compact enough for the camper. It makes two to three daiquiris or margaritas at a time. It is enough for my husband and I to enjoy a drink without worrying about the rest melting in the heat. The ice is perfectly blended every time. I have no complaints about this. Love it! Read more

as a blender it's so/so. it won't crush ice very well and making smoothies is kinda weak but if you want to blend a banana in with some protein powder its fine. It just won't handle anything remotely thick unlike the regular magic bullet. had one for years but needed more capacity so decided to try this one, but it essentially fails. used it to blend soups though and works well for stuff like that though.
