Lightweight and easy to assemble aluminum stand
The media could not be loaded. Using this stand for a mix of work and study with a 13" Thinkpad The 2-in-1 idea is genuinely useful. In “riser” mode, it lifts the laptop about 6 cm, which is just enough to put the screen closer to eye level and open up airflow underneath. My laptops do run a bit cooler and my neck is less tense after longer sessions. In vertical “storage” mode it really does free up a good chunk of desk space – great when I’m plugged into an external monitor and just need the laptop closed and out of the way. Build quality is solid. The aluminum feels sturdy and not flimsy at all, and it doesn’t flex even with the heavier 16" machine. The silicone pads on the arms and base keep everything in place and protect the laptop from scratches. Once it’s set up on the desk, it doesn’t slide around. Portability is a strong point. When you take it apart, it becomes very flat and light, so it’s easy to slip into a backpack or laptop sleeve without adding bulk. That makes it a good option if you work between home, office, and cafés. A few minor drawbacks: height and angle aren’t really adjustable beyond the basic lift, so if you’re looking for something highly customizable, this is fairly fixed. Also, switching between riser mode and vertical storage means handling a few pieces, so it’s not something I’d want to flip back and forth multiple times a day. Overall, it’s a compact, sturdy stand that does exactly what it promises: better cooling, a more comfortable viewing height, and a nice vertical storage option when desk space is tight. Read more
