*** Update: Its now been 2 years and my 2 dvd players are still going strong. A great purchase! This dvd player is small, very simple looking and gets the job done. I just installed it today and played a video and it was fine. Time will tell if it will be this way in a year but im optimistic, especically after reviewing other reviews who have indicated that it has performed well after one year. UPDATE: Its been almost a year since Ive had this unit (actually I have two) and they're working fine. A great purchase! Read more

I love the DVD player but was disappointed that the original remote control was not with it. The one that was included has caused nothing but problems. so hard to set. I have to manually control the player. Read more

Ordered and have used it at work many times. Ive read other review saying that it dosent last as long as other ones, but considering the other dvd players cost a lot more and some of them you can't set the regional settings on, this is a cheap but very effective player for the money. If it dies in a year or 2 who cares, you bought it for 30 bucks anyways lol. Considering I'm spending 80 dollars on gas every 2 weeks I figure 30 bucks for a year of movie watching aint to shabby. I bought this dvd player on 11/30/09. Two days ago is stopped playing dvds, it wouldn't eject the dvd and now it no longer works. Thank goodness I have a week to return it and get my money back. yo Magnavox you can't make a simple dvd player last longer than 90 days!! Read more
