The remote control still had batteries in the control and were corroded. I cleaned the batteries and inserted new ones but the.remote did not work correctly with the player. Overall it was a terrible experience and left a black mark on Amazon. Read more

remote works with dvd but not work with VCR . can't use tracking feature I contacted Magnavox and I ordered a new remote from them. It is more expensive, but I wasn't sure if the those advertised on Amazon were compatible with the dvd'vcr machine. What I had not realized when I ordered the machine was that it was made in 2005. I might not have ordered it if I had known that at the time. Surprisingly, it does look very clean and does work well. I will let you know how this all works out. Read more
