My second time purchasing. The plastic housing for the magnet comes apart sometimes (probably so u can inspect your magnet) but I added a dab of super glue to stop it from happening. I also peeled off the velcro from the in-tank magnet. I think that might be on there in case you want to attach to your flipper glass cleaner. My tank is only a 40gal, so thicker glass could be an issue. It takes up a smaller footprint on the glass than anything else I've found (aka, all other Amazon options). 5 stars for any nano/medium tank. Read more

⚠️ PLEASE EXCUSE THE DIRTY GLASS IN THE ATTACHED PICTURES— I HAD NO YET TAKEN A SCRAPER TO THE INSIDE! Previously o had been using an array of clips that were using suction cups to stick to the inside of the glass. They worked great but after so long, the saltwater would negatively effect the suction cups and eventually the auctions cups would completely harden, or for some reason, turn inside out and become useless. I'd always preferred to try magnets when it comes to making things stick to the glass and this was my first clip that actually has a magnet— needless to say, I will NOT be using suction cups any longer. ✅ SWIVELING CLIP: It may not seem like an important detail but the fact that the clip is able to swivel a full 360° on the mount, is amazing. Sometimes the seaweed will take awhile to become fully saturated and will end up trying to rise towards the surface. This inevitably causes the seaweed sheet to bend at the point that its clipped and then eventually completely breaks off, leaving a large majority of the seaweed sheet, floating and getting sucked up by the filter and ultimately wasted. The swivel if the clip allows for the seaweed sheet to naturally and flow along with the current of the water, with little to no resistance, in turn making the seaweed last longer in one solid piece. ✅ STRONG CLIP GRIP: the inside of the clip is serrated so it easily grabs and holds the seaweed. It's not too tight that it breaks the sheet where its grabbed, but obviously not too loose that the sheet unintentionally comes loose and free floating. It opens up pretty wide so you can fit multiple sheets if needed, or even some larger like a slice of veggie (for freshwater fish like plecos). ✅ PADDED CONTACTS: the magnets have essentially velcro on the insides that make contact with the glass. One side has hooks, the other side has the fuzzy pad. This protects from scratching the glass on the inside as well as the outside. This clip also comes along with and EXTRA set of velcro pads so you are able to replace the old ones if neccessary. ✅ STRONG MAGNETS: these must be those neodymium magnets, because they are extremely strong! They're not difficult to pull apart so you don't have to use a wedge oranything, but taking them apart definitely requires using both hands. The glass of my 40 gallon breeder aquarium is right around an 8th of an inch in thickness and it has no issue with strength of adhesion. I also texted the magnets out on a tank that has glass that is nearly a little less than a quarter of an inch thick and the magnets were still just as strong. ✅ COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLES: I cannot praise enough the fact that I love that this entire thing comes completely apart. You are able to remove the magnet from the clip as well as remove the clip from the general harness and set up. This makes is super easy to clean efficiently and thoroughly. I really love that it all comes apart. Overall, this is definitely one of the best clips that I have ever used. The strength of the clip is strong and just right, as well as the mounting magnets. It's the perfect size to be able to use in any sized tank, and still not have a distracting presence in the tank. Although I think o would have preferred a different color, like maybe black or even a transparent clip and mounting harness, the features with it being able to swivel around as well as the padded contacts of the magnet sides, make this clip totally worth it. Very strong magnet and holds up well in the tank. I used it to hold up a plastic plant container and it had no problem with that. Easy to clip on and off. It is a bit tough to split up the magnets though if you touch them together! Works great. Read more
I ordered this magnetic feeding clip for my husband and I's 55-gallon saltwater tank. The clip is of good quality and works exactly as expected. The magnet is strong and holds firmly in place, with no sliding or weak magnetism. Our saltwater critters love it when we put seaweed out, and this clip makes feeding super easy and mess-free. This is soo much easier to use than a suction cup with a clip on it. Now I don't have to keep sticking my hand way down inside the tank. In fact, I don't have to get my hand wet at all. I just put the inside magnet at the top of the tank and let the outside one grab on to it. Then I move the outside magnet to where ever I want the food to be. It's just like the magnets with the felt on them for cleaning the walls of the tank. It's strong enough that you can move it around without it coming apart. I wasn't sure, given how small the magnet is compared to the ones you use for cleaning, but they are indeed very strong. The clip is plastic, but it holds and stays all the way shut. I feed my algae eaters zuchinni and cucumber more than anything because they seem to like it better than everything else I've tried. I usually use a straw to poke a hole in the center, and then put some fishing line through it and tie onto the clip. The clip stays closed all the way, so not even a thin piece of fishing line will escape through its jaws. I suppose I could clip the food itself, but the pieces I give them are just too thick for that. They have grown quite large and now have big appetites! I think if I continue to use the clip in the same way, it will withstand the test of time. Otherwise, I would think that it would loosen up a bit as it gets more use, as plastic can be somewhat pliable. All in all I am happy with mine. I got this magnetic holder to compare to my suction cup ones... and the suction cup ones went directly into the trash. This one is so much better. The suction cups warp and degrade over time and lose their ability to hold. Magnets are a much better option. In this case, these magnets are quite strong, so you do want to watch your fingers a bit. It clips sheets of nori with no issue and has been working wonderfully in my saltwater reef tank. It arrives ready to go, no assembly required other than securing it to your tank and affixing food. Compared to other magnetic clips on the market, this one is pretty reasonably priced and does the job well. Read more
