Samsung watch, cooling fan, metal build, price point
Samsung watch!!!! TLDR: This is the one to get for samsung watch (At least day 1 lol). Also has apple watch version (got one for my daughter. She a horrible apple snob while rest of family is 1337 Samsung) It was a headache to find a "quality" wireless charger for Samsung watch. Oh sure we can buy a $15 energizer one at best buy or anything up to $35ish average on Amazon but it appears to be all poor quality plastic stuff (all from same China plant sold on alibaba for 2$ each and resold online for 20 to 50) Even saw a FB ad showing "ichargingdock" on BF sale for 60$ when it's exact model on Amazon for 25$. After 3 hours of searching and researching I stumbled on this. Always read the 1 star reviews on all items first and discern if the user is a moron, is the defect consistent or just bad luck, shipping problem, the quantity of same complaint, etc etc. Then read good reviews. This one didnt have bad reviews but I believe it's fairly new on market anyways so low amount of reviews. I took the dive at 50$ a unit. Side note, the new Anker Prime looked amazing. But pricey at 150 but it's a reputable brand and you pay for quality I suppose. Well I returned on 1st hour because it's apple watch only. The post listed apple phones (and others). It did charge other phones but magnet won't accept Samsung watch (they should clearly specify apple watch only--perhaps they have by now) Things I was looking for: 1. Decent quality, looks, and feel 2. Samsung watch capable (or universal) 3. Fan so I doesn't overheat like many cheap ones. (Have you seen the photos of melted stuff) 3. Price to value. I'll spend extra coin on quality but I won't be easily tricked buying your plastic alibaba generic charger for 60$ just because it doesn't have some random slew of letters reading out to be a China brand. At this rate of hunting, portability for travel was omitted. Style to sit at the nightstand was higher priority due to low choices on quality models. We all have small brick and wire chargers for travel so let's do that. Also 25 watt was a low priority. 15 watts is fast charging from most phones, 25 watts is super fast charging which I'd rather use a nice wire and brick for that "volume" of electricity-- stays cooler and proven tech. If you're charging overnight then even 5watts is fine for a phone and shouldn't need cooling. If you need super fast charging all the damn time then your phone battery sucks--probably due to all low quality charging devices. Phone should last all day use (non-gaming) for most ppl. If you want 15 plus watts of charging please look for cooling models to ensure no disasters. Cooling FAN! Its not loud but louder than the first round Samsung oem wireless chargers. I can detect a high frequency sound resonating from it. PLEASE MAKE FAN SPEED ADJUSTBLE!! I notice it is variable speed (still tbd). At dead of night you will hear it. It all depends on the person if it bothers you or not. The oem Samsung wireless charging pad was super quiet compared to this but this also charges at fast charging vs regular. The fan can be turned off via a touch sensor on base. If you make a variable speed fan upgrade please send me one!!! :D Sure we all want to save money but do I want to by a new phone because battery blew up? I'll spend a little more on a charger thus the big hit on wallet with thr anker one which won't work on Samsung watch. First day of use and testing. We are very happy with it. I used a wattage display charging wire (not included) with the included charging brick. Its not pro grade and will not be exact but gives you an idea if the charger is doing it's job and if thr included brick can handle the power demand. Phone only: 14 watts average Add buds3pro: 18 wats average Add Samsung watch: 24 watts average These are averages and it goes up and down few watts. Fan on: add 2 watts Phone on: Add 4 watts (watching videos on dock open fold 7) Wattage peaked 31 watts 28 average. Included brick can provide the power levels and thr charger is working. For 30 minutes phone did not get hot. Personally wasn't even warm to me. Pros: It has weight so it will stay in place for the most part when taking phone off. Its metal and not plastic. Feels great and of quality Charges all 3 devices at ratings: 15 watt for phone 3 to 5 for other 2 all at same time. Did not feel hot phone Price is great at 50$!!! Pay 20$ more over generic plastic stuff you see on Amazon for this charging confidence, metal feel, and cooling fan? Hell yes!!! Same day shipping (or next day). Dbrand case with built in mag ring works perfect. No need to reapply numerous times to get charge. I sure it works for all. Also holds and charges sideways even with fold open for viewing late night sexy vids or anime with furries. Cons: I spend 30 minutes typing this and 3 hours hunting so YOU DONT HAVE TO! My wife stays up later watching vids and doom scrolling longer. Not a "travel charger" but stuff in in clothing first (padding and support) if you really wanted. Or be a man and use a damn small brick and wire at the hotel ffs. The pros outweigh the portability. Photos up soon!!!! Keep your battery safe and cool! Also women will come up to you and want you after they see this on your office desk. The manufacturer better give me new models to test after this review!!! Stay safe and happy holidays!
