I was really excited to get this because I love the soft pink color and feminine details; however it does not look like the pictures. 1. It's longer 2. It's not as fitted 3. It's difficult to tell in the picture for this color, but it does have white contrast trim on the cuffs, waist, and front button up sections. 4. The picture makes the material look more fuzzy, it's not. I love cardigan sweaters. I've said that before in my reviews but it's true- they're a nice substitute for a blazer and they add some interest, especially when they've got detailing like this one does. The only problem is the lack of a size chart. I ordered my usual Large (39" bust measurement, 140 lbs.) and it fits perfectly. There's enough room to button it closed without any gaping or stress on the buttons and I can move around in it without any problems. The knit is a decent blend of cotton and acrylic. Acrylic tends to pill in the wash especially when it's part of a blend as the shorter fibers rub against other clothes and ball up = a pill. You best bet is to use a lingerie bag or wash it by itself on the delicate cycle and line dry (or dry flat or hang to dry). I did run it on a brief delicate dryer cycle with a damp washcloth to get the worst of the wrinkles from the packaging out and it worked quite nicely and didn't harm the sweater so you might want to try running it on a short delicate dryer cycle to get most of the water out then finish on a hanger. I don't know what the "tie" in the headline is referring to; there's no tie involved that I could see. Anyway, this is a very nice, soft, classic sweater and the price isn't bad for what you get so it's a recommend from me; in fact, I think I'll get another one, maybe brown. Or pink. Or black.
