This review is for the Vivid Beauty 18-piece makeup brush set in gray. Over the years, I’ve managed to cobble together a bunch of brushes from different companies, in different styles and lengths. It looks very mish-mash. Now I have graduated to a matching set courtesy of these Vivid Beauty brushes. I love that they all match and have tapered gray handles. There’s also a light gray storage case that you can keep the brushes in when you’re not using them, or leave the top off and leave them in there all the time. There’s really a brush in here for everything. The brushes are super soft and pick up makeup well. My only critique is that the listing makes the eyebrow brush look like it’s its own brush. However, that one is actually a dual brush with the eyebrow spool at one end and an eyelash brush at the other end. I personally hate dual-ended brushes because I feel one end gets messed up since it’s always standing on that end (if you keep your brushes out and standing up like I do). I'm impressed with this set-there are 18 different makeup brushed to chose from, making it easy to select the appropriate brush for what you need. The handy guide to all the brushes helps break down what each brush is best for, and each brush has soft bristles and is well made. As a bonus everything comes in a vinyl travel case tat is actually quality. I'm not a huge fan of the color personally but I will get over that since it is so well made, so I won't mind leaving it sit right out on the bathroom counter then throw it in my bag when it is time to travel. This would make a great gift too-I think with the detailed descriptions, this would be especially nice for young makeup aficionados who aren't starting off with a lot. Read more
