Love this Messenger Bag for my MTG Deck Boxes Bag!!!
Arrived Fast, Perfect Brand New Condition, Colors Very Bright Beautiful Crisp Designs. Added four pics so you can see that it does hold 3 100+ deck boxes in the main zippered compartment tight across the bottom (2 chromaskin 100+ sidewinders...blue and red...and 1 pink ultimate guard 100+ boulder deck box); and can have 1-2 more 100 card deck boxes on top of those and still zipper it fully closed and the bag isn't even bulging out too much (picture of the bag fully zipped with 5 100+ deck boxes inside main compartment and you can see it sideways) that the bag still seems fairly flat and can easily hold more stuff and still not be over bulging. The strap is a very sturdy thick canvas strap and isn't straining to hold 250 cards and 5 100+ deck boxes, so it can handle a nice weight easily. The front flap is just a flap, nothing attaching it at the bottom of the flap, and there are 2 long pockets (like one big pocket but sewn up the middle to make 2 pockets instead), pockets wider than any smart phones and deep enough any could be slide into either one...calculator, tiny small notepad, pens/pencils/one-two layer pencil case etc...nothing too bulky or wide could fit though. The back of the bag just has one wide pocket across it but it seems like it could handle things more bulky than the front pockets could even with the sewn divider removed. There are 2 zippered compartments: 1 medium sized and 1 very large main compartment. Inside the large compartment hanging off the top on one side is an extra small zippered compartment that could hold a wallet or smart phone etc. The medium compartment can fit 1-2 of the deck boxes inside it with space for other less bulky things, but does bulge the front of the bag more than putting the boxes in the main compartment. I can see using this medium compartment for a folded up playmat and my dice container (1 hard eye glass holder) and maybe wallet/phone since it is a smaller zippered pocket so feel safer with them in a zippered section but one I can find them faster than at the bottom of the biggest zippered section. A sealed pack of regular school lined notebook paper (with the 3 holes in them) cannot fit into the big compartment wide side going in, the zipper is smaller than the long side of the paper. The sealed paper pack can fit in the big section short side going in, and it is deep enough to fit fully inside it, the zipper can easily zip up...so might can fit a notebook that is almost exact same size as paper itself...like the research paper/project proposal folder slides that are about the exact same size as the paper itself just with a clear front and a slide holding the papers inside it. If you needed to carry a 3 ring notebook this is too small for one of those, even a 1/2 inch 3 ring binder would probably be too tall and maybe too wide to fit into the large compartment....a 3 prong bendable folder might could fit inside it. It is not very padded, the back pocket is padded a bit and quilted. The front flap is also quilted and a bit thicker/padded with extra fabric. The divider between the zippered medium compartment and the zippered big compartment is just 1 piece of fabric, only 1 layer of fabric...front side with bright polkadot design shows in the big compartment and the backside with faded design of polkadots showing through is what you see in the medium compartment. The rest of the bag is just one layer of thick canvas material with the paisley design on it. So it is very sturdy to hold what a normal purse or canvas backpack can hold (though only holds what a small backpack not a large regular size can hold). I would not put a tablet or laptop inside this and toss it onto a desk or table or other hard surface, it would not protect it from breaking a screen. If not thrown or tossed, but gently laid down it would be fine...but if you were worried about it I would suggest having a extra padded protective container for those sensitive items if you thought you might accidently drop this with them in it (like padded inserts for tablets/phones or camera equipment (dslr camera/tablet/laptop equipment padded inserts would probably fit inside the larger compartment).
