Vehicle: 2025 Civic Hatchback Hybrid Camera: Mangoal 4K front only Setup: Mangoal Hard Wire fuse tap kit. Mangoal GPS module. About Me: Mechanically Inclined. IT/IS professional. I have a good working understanding of basic electrical and electronics. Pro: Easy to install. Looks OEM. No suction cup or adhesive mounted camera on the windshield. Con: Camera app is not great, but it works. Current Issue: Camera begins to take videos. For not discernable reason, the camera records corrupted files. They have content, but not able to render any video or audio from the file. Reboot of camera. After about 2 drives, corrupted video files. I've reformatted the TF card. Still happened. I've installed a new compatible TF card. Still occurs. I've checked power. I've checked cables for any fray's shorts. I've updated the app. I suspect this camera is faulty. I'm giving it another day before I initiate an Amazon return/replacement for defective merchandise. Rating for now: 2 stars. If for some miracle reason, the camera stops generating corrupted video files, I'll increase the rating to 3 stars. If not, the rating will stay as is and I will source a 4K dashcam from a vendor with U.S. physical presence for ease of support and recourse. Read more

Ok, let’s start with the good. I was afraid that running cables to the back camera would be difficult, but with the help of the video, it took maybe 10 minutes. Probably less. I put it way up high so you don’t see it from the inside and with the factory tint, you can barely see it from outside the car. The GPS was simple as well. I didn’t install it with that goofy angle showed in the instructions, so mine looks like it’s always been part of the car. You can’t even see the wires the way I did it! The image quality when looking at it live from your phone is pretty low quality, but when you download the images they are super clear! Ok, now the issues. The video must have shown a different model than my Civic Si, so some of the steps weren’t the same. No big deal, I figured it out. There is A LOT of excess cable to hide. Hooking the cables up was easy, but getting them out of the way was a challenge. This is where it starts to get frustrating. After finally pulling the cables up into the headliner enough that the camera could attach, it didn’t want to click together. After maneuvering the unit around, I was able to get most of the clips to latch, but not all. I’m going to have other work done at a local car electronics installer and I’ll ask them to take a look at it. In the meantime, the gap is mostly hidden by the mirror so it’s not very noticeable. My only concern is that one of the other clips will loosen and the camera will be dangling by the wires. Read more

Just installed today, so far a great dash cam. Overall so far it seems to record and track with no issue. The gps feature is a plus and the fact the app tracks the dash cam is also a plus. I do advise to hardwire it which is way better so you can monitor it 24/7. Overall great cam so far. Read more
