The fabric is lightweight and breezy - perfect for hot summer days - though it's a bit see-through so you'll want to plan your undergarments accordingly. The ruffled details and adjustable straps help create a nice silhouette without being too fussy. The elastic at the back of the bodice provides good stretch for comfort while keeping everything secure. The skirt portion has enough fullness to move nicely when walking but isn't so voluminous that it becomes impractical. Length hits about mid-thigh on average height (I'm 5'6"). A few practical notes: The fabric wrinkles pretty easily, so you'll want to hang it up right after washing. The built-in lining helps with the sheerness but only extends to mid-thigh. The floral print looks exactly like the photos and hasn't faded after several washes. While it's marketed as a dress, it also works great as a beach coverup.
