OK. I did research. Here is the story on why these don't burn easily. They need air. They don't burn well in a closed or tight container like an incense bowl or other such, I lit one and placed it on a metal plate. It burned for hours and I put my sage on top of it. They might be good in a large bowl but probably need a grate to lift them off the bottom. I also ordered the smaller 3mm size. Maybe they'll burn better in a smaller container. Read more
