It's important to note that it's intended to plug into a 1/4" input jack; or if you encounter a "mini-input-jack," the package includes an adapter for that purpose. But again, this doesn't utilize the common "XLR" format. Sound-wise, the mic is respectable. I have gigged with it, and it sounded just fine. Used this microphone with quite a large Bluetooth speaker that I used at a car meet event at my business. The music in the speaker was loud enough to be heard across a 300 car lot with a crowd of 500+ people however whenever I would switch the microphone on it would be significantly quieter than the speaker would normally be. The microphone functions alright and is very clear. I’m not sure if it was the microphone or the speaker but I ended up just shouting the announcements as I have a pretty loud voice anyways. I’ll give it three stars because for most situations I see this microphone being enough for karaoke or small gatherings however for outdoor events with larger crowds a bullhorn is probably your best bet for the price.
