I ordered Margaret Josefin Japanese Body Wash for its natural ingredients, as I try to use natural products for my body care. It came very well packaged and shrink wrapped. It has a simple minimalistic Japanese design, which looks stylish. This body wash has a subtle, but pleasant smell: a bit earthy with citrus and green tea notes. I like fragrances that are not overpowering and support your natural smell, rather than make you smell like perfume. I really enjoy this fragrance; it wakes me up in the morning. I also like how the body wash leathers up - I only need a couple of pumps to get clean. I have not noticed much influence on my skin- it does not moisturize my skin too much, but it also does not make my skin dry. It just makes my skin feel clean and refreshed. I love that there are no parabens, mineral oils, and harsh chemicals. I also like how label is very organized and easy to read. I did notice that when I push the pump, it produces a lot of body wash at once. I wish I could control the amount of liquid dispensed better. I find the price a tad high as well - $ 41.00 for 500 ml. There are other soaps and body washes that have clean ingredients at lower prices. I really like Margaret Josefin Japanese body wash and would love to get it as a gift. I am not sure, if I would purchase it again at the current price. Read more

I’ve really been enjoying this Japanese body wash. The green tea scent is light, clean, and refreshing without being overpowering. It gives a nice spa-like feeling in the shower and leaves a subtle, pleasant fragrance on the skin. The formula feels very gentle and works well for sensitive skin. It cleans well without leaving my skin feeling dry or tight, which I really appreciate. Since it’s paraben free, it also feels like a safer option for daily use. It lathers nicely with just a small amount, so the bottle should last a while. The texture is smooth and rinses off easily without leaving any residue. Overall, this is a great everyday body wash if you prefer something mild with a fresh scent. It feels high quality and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and refreshed. Highly recommend. Read more

I am always on the lookout for new body washes, so I was excited to try this MARGARET JOSEFIN green tea scented body wash. My usual go-to is Molton Brown, so I have a thing for nice complex and unique scents, so showers are a little bit more like a ritual (especially helpful in the morning since I am NOT a morning person). This one is generally great. The scent is clean but has the floral musk of green tea to balance it out and make it smell a little more complex and sensual, but still bright and fresh. Now compared to my OG fave Molton Brown body wash, the bottle is much more generous for almost the same price, so it’s definitely a better value volume-wise. But it’s worth noting that this is less concentrated than some other body washes (like MB). This means 1) the texture isn’t as thick (which some might prefer) 2) the scent isn’t as strong (again, might be your preference) and 3) you end up using more for the same magnitude of lather (both because of necessity and because the pump dispenses a lot if you press it down all the way). The pump is kind of like one you would see in a gym shower, in terms of amount dispensed. So in the end, I could actually see a smaller bottle of Molton Brown ending up lasting the same amount of time. That brings me to the price. In the world of Jo Malone and Molton Brown, which is on the high end, the price for this bottle is pretty normal. But because the scent is a little understated, you might find it underwhelming from a scent strength standpoint. It definitely does not linger at all on my skin from what I can tell, unlike some stronger brands. This reads “high quality luxury hotel/gym body wash” and I don’t mean that as a criticism. But just be aware that this works more as a background everyday scent vs something sumptuous that takes you on a, say, “fragrance journey.” Personally I like a stronger more complicated and unique fragrance, so I wouldn’t buy this for myself at this price point. But I think a lot of people would appreciate the subtlety. All in all, this is a really nice find, and I am happy to learn about this brand I haven’t heard of before. Read more

This came wrapped really well - bubble wrapped on the outside, plastic shrink wrapped over the bottle and lid, and the lid was screwed tight. No leaking here! The bottle is really nice, too, a thicker plastic. This body wash is indeed gentle, lathering slightly. It spreads over your skin well. The fragrance is very light, I think it's definitely a green tea smell, which is a bit earthy to me. Some people may like it. It's not my favorite. There is no lingering of fragrance after you rinse; I can only smell it while lathering. However, my skin felt dry after I rinsed. I followed up with the Dove moisturizing body wash I had been using, and there was a noticeable difference that made it clear this product does not leave my skin feeling soft. It dries me out. I suspect it's the green tea... I have to be careful using green tea products on my face because it will dry me out and cause breakouts. I didn't make the connection when I ordered this, but I think green tea in general is not a good match for my skin. For the price, I would expect better moisturizing properties, and maybe a thicker product. I think how much your enjoy this product will depend heavily on how your skin responds to green tea.
