Great Mix of Marini Clinical and K Beauty Actives That Makes My Skin Look Amazing
Fewer Fine Lines and Bouncier Skin, Even in the Middle of Winter I got this because it’s one of Marini’s newest anti aging serums, released in early 2026, and the once I saw that it had PDRN and ferments, I knew I wanted it. I’m up for anything that blends Korean style regenerative ingredients with real clinical performance. And since my whole relationship with Jan Marini started years ago when the aesthetician in my dermatologist’s office used her products on me after microneedling and laser, I already trust the brand when it comes to calming my skin and getting my barrier back in shape. So this felt like it was made for me. ➡️ WHAT THE TEXTURE FEELS LIKE ON MY SKIN ➜ The texture is this light gel that absorbs fast, and on my winter dry skin it just disappears in the best way. I get that soft silicone slip at first, and then it settles into a smooth, comfortable finish. The only place I feel a tiny bit of tackiness is my forehead, which always runs a little oilier, but even that goes away once I put moisturizer or sunscreen on. Right now, in the cold, it feels perfect. In the summer, I can already tell it’ll be more of a use when needed serum, but for winter it’s exactly what my skin wants. ➡️ WHY IT WORKS SO WELL WITH MY RETINOL ROUTINE ➜ This serum fits into my retinol routine in a way that feels really natural. Some nights I put it right on top of my encapsulated retinol, and that pairing keeps my skin calm instead of tight or pink. Other nights I skip layering and just use it alone if I want something soothing. And then there are mornings when my skin feels a little overworked, and I use it by itself to settle everything down. ➜ The biggest thing is how "normal but better" my skin feels through the day. Usually, in winter, my skin starts asking for moisture by mid morning, but when I use this at night and again in the morning, that doesn’t happen. My skin stays soft and comfortable, and the pinkness I usually get from retinol is much lower. It makes stronger actives a lot more doable, without the punishment. ➡️ WHY THIS SERUM MATTERS TO ME WITH STRONGER AT HOME ACTIVES AND AT HOME PROCEDURES ➜ This is the part I wish I understood a long time ago. For years I thought I had sensitive skin. Any time I used something strong like retinol, or did dermaplaning, or even just pushed my exfoliation a little too far, my skin would get pink, tight, or just feel off for days. I assumed that meant my skin couldn’t handle these things. ➜ What I eventually learned is that my skin wasn’t the problem. The problem was that I was using all these stronger at home actives and even doing things like dermaplaning or light microneedling, but I wasn’t pairing them with the same level of repair and regeneration that I’d get in a dermatologist’s office. Yes, I know, duh, but whatever, I doubt I'm the only one. Basically, just because I can I do these things at home now doesn’t magically mean my skin needs any less help recovering afterward. ➜ Once I started balancing the strong stuff with equally strong repair, all that sensitive skin I thought I had disappeared. ➜ This serum fills that gap for me. It behaves like the post procedure serums my aesthetician used on me after microneedling and laser. It calms everything down, brings back that soft, hydrated feel, and helps my barrier settle after I’ve done something intense. I wouldn’t use it on day one after microneedling, but on day two and onward it’s perfect for getting my skin back to normal. ➡️ THE INGREDIENTS THAT MAKE THIS FEEL DIFFERENT AND BACK UP WITH CLAIMS ➜ The first thing I noticed on the ingredient list is how high Sodium DNA (PDRN) sits. That’s rare. It means the concentration is actually meaningful, not just a marketing sprinkle. PDRN gives the serum that slightly cushioned feel and a subtle firming effect that I notice the next morning. The ferments give it that Korean recovery vibe I love, and then you have ceramide NP, a peptide, and adenosine rounding everything out. It feels like this perfect blend of Marini’s clinical roots and the Korean ingredients that always work so well for me. ➡️ HOW MY SKIN LOOKS AND FEELS AFTER USING THIS - THE BEST PART! ➜ My skin looks and feels noticeably better when I use this, especially in the anti aging department. I see softer fine lines and a more even tone, and my skin has a firmer, more supported feel that I notice the next morning. The moisture stays steady through the day, which never happens for me in winter. My redness is lower in the morning, and my texture looks smoother. I’ve also noticed fewer fine lines with this treatment. I’m not sure if that’s because this serum is fantastic on its own or because it makes everything else in my routine work better, but the anti aging effects are real for me, especially above and below the corners of my lips. ➡️ THERE IS A LIGHT SCENT BUT IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME AND HOW I USE THIS IN MY ROUTINE IN THE WINTER ➜ There’s a light scent, but it hasn’t irritated my skin at all. I'd prefer there wasn't any scent in here, but that's just my preference. I use this at night over retinol and again in the morning on clean skin, and that routine works really well for me right now. In the warmer months, I’ll probably use it more as a repair serum, especially after dermaplaning or day two microneedling, but for winter it’s one of the few things that keeps my skin comfortable. ➡️ MY OVERALL TAKE ➜ I think this is a standout addition to the Marini line. It’s perfect for people who want high quality skin care and something that actually supports the barrier when you’re using stronger actives or doing at home procedures. And even if you’re not using strong actives at all, it’s still a fantastic serum because of the ingredient quality, how restorative and balanced it feels on the skin, and the real anti aging benefits it gives on its own. It fits right into the clinical world where the brand started, but it also brings in the Korean elements I love, like PDRN and ferments. For my skin, especially in winter, it gives me softness, moisture, a calmer feel, and visible anti aging results. It’s totally worth it. Read more
