After 100 uses, I'm glad I bought it. Previous mats haven't lasted. I weigh 195 lbs, and sweat a lot, so really hard on mats. The cork layer is thin, but the 5mm thick pad is better than any mat I've used. I slip a bit until the cork gets a little damp. The photo shows the worst wear where my foot or hand grips in down dog. These spots are not worn completely through to the backing, just the top layer of cork worn away. The rest of the mat has a few random bruises but is generally perfect. Used on a wet lawn with some mud a few times and the back is easy to clean. Update: after ~18 months of hard use, it's still in fair shape. More of the cork has chipped off (than in the photo), yet as it comes in very small patches it leaves a rough patchwork that provides an even better grip. Now I'm buying a yoga towel to cover it. I have now had this yoga mat for two months. in the three weeks before I bought this I had read every article, watched every YouTube review, read every Amazon description, and tried physical mats at department stores and nothing was what I wanted until I stumbled upon this. As soon as I opened it I knew it was Excactly what I wanted. The sleekness of it makes it easy to clean, the grip is incredible, it is very heavy which I personally find to be a plus as I am doing at home yoga teacher training Right now, however I would recommend bringing it to class to buy a heavy duty strap first. The reviews on everyday yoga’s website said it is comparable to high up brands and I can’t attest to that but it is such a good value for your money. It does have a decently strong rubber smell in the beginning but it fades with time, not sure if it will ever fully go away but it doesn’t bother me because the comfort and stability of the mat are everything I wanted! At last I found my newest yoga mat! I love the beautiful design and it has just the right amount of padding for yoga or Pilates. It is a little heavier than most other mats, but I can’t complain since I know I’ll just get stronger every time I carry it. It’s also very easy to clean and grippy! I’m so in love with this mat. best yoga mat i’ve owned so far. i usually go for the cheaper ones but if you use it every other day like me, might as well invest in a good quality one - it enhances your workout in my opinion. i bought 2! the foamy version and cork. love both of them! Read more

This is a really nice yoga mat. I really appreciate the guides so I can make sure my feet are properly placed for each pose, and it is fairly nonslip (there is still a tiny bit of slippage, but not in all poses and definitely can be fixed with a pair of yoga socks). It is cushioned nicely and a bit oversized from a regular mat, which is also nice. I would definitely let it off gas before you use it, as with any mat, because it does have a chemical-laden smell when first opened, unfortunately. Other than that, it is a very nice mat. Read more
