I bought this vacuum not just because it is described as a "Bed Vacuum", but I also thought it would be even MORE useful for upholstered furniture, and also fabric seats in vehicles. A bit of personal history first. Growing up, I suffered from allergies to dust. I didn't think much of it then since we lived on a farm, and dust is everywhere. Sure, I was allergic to some farm dust in what they call "hay fever", but it wasn't until years later that I learned that house dust was my real enemy. And the dust mites! What I suffered from was the effects of dust mites, tiny organisms that live in bedding, upholstery, carpeting, etc. But nothing like this Vac was available then. While I do have good vacuums for carpeting, they are awkward harder to use on beds and furniture. This compact Vac can be used more often and is easier to use. And that problem is solved by this MYUAKO Mattress Vacuum Cleaner Bed Vacuum. This vacuum is light, portable, and is operated by one hand easily. * It is an AC powered Vac, but that is an asset in several ways. First, it is a quality powerful device, and the cord length is ample. I had no problems with the cord length. * AC corded line powered is better in my opinion because batteries need charged, fail eventually, and don't give the full power that the corded AC vac does. * It has rubber beaters to get the dust and DUST MITES out. * It has plenty of filtering, including a HEPA filter. * It is very easy to clean and reassemble. The is a Velcro strip to hold the cord for storage. * It is very light for its power, and takes little storage space. I put in on an upper closet shelf for storage. * The color, a mint green I think, makes it very easy to find since nothing else I have is that color in the closet. * The UV LIGHT is also a thoughtful and effective sanitizing feature I think is very valuable for my situation here. * Solidly constructed, this Vac should last for years with little maintenance; just cleaning the bowl and filters. * Cleaning brush included for those hard to get areas on the Vac. * Instructive Manual included. * Quality long lasting construction. * Easy to use. You may not think it picks up as much as it does. While the container will look dusty etc, remember that Dust Mites and INVISIBLE to the naked eye, and the Dust Mites are what causes my allergy suffering, going on for decades. The media could not be loaded. This is a very useful vacuum. It comes out of the box ready to use - no setup or assembly at all - which was very convenient. You just plug it in, turn it on, and it went right to work. I used this vacuum on our sofa, bed sheets, mattress, and our babies crib. We keep a clean house and regularly clean these items, but the amount of dust, mites, and debris that this vacuum got out of each was stunning. It is very powerful and gave all of these items a much needed deep clean. The power cord is very long so we had no problem plugging it in on one side of our king size bed and cleaning the entire thing. The light on the vacuum is very useful for identifying areas that need extra attention. Cleaning the machine is very easy as well. The dust bin pops right out with a click of a button, then you just empty, rinse and pop back in. Overall a great product and five stars! Read more
