I'm about to go on a trip to Disney and I bought this just for the occasion as well as hiking for after the trip. So far upon checking the bag out thoroughly it's a great size (11L) for my purposes and the zippers work great, maybe a little stiff at first but use them a bit and the get easier. After I return from my two week vacation I will have more of an opinion on this product, but for now I love everything about it. UPDATE: 4/14/19 - The bag performed amazingly at Disney, comfortable, mostly all day. My shoulders were a bit sore after the first day but got better when I got used to caring the weight. However, when it rained and I mean down poured, this bag would have gotten soaked and everything in it, the bag is NOT water resistant, not even a little. I was very lucky that I also went with a full sized rain poncho and that actually saved all my camera equipment. Still love this bag! It's durable and can hold a lot of small stuff. The ONLY thing that bothers me but isn't a deal breaker is it's not water resistant, I know it doesn't claim to be but if it were it would be one of the best bags ever in my opinion. Worst bag that I have ever used. There was next to zero thought put into the design of this bag and materials used. The zippers are the worst zippers I have ever used on anything. The cheapest of bags at least usually have zippers that open. I have used this bag everyday for months. I really wanted to like it and gave it more than a fair shot. The zippers hardly want to open. Forget about opening any pocket but the hard shell front pocket one handed. The conceal carry pocket has snaps in the way of zipper path, making access even more difficult than with horrible zippers alone. The front pocket is so shallow that you can't even clip a pen onto the elastic webbing. This bag is total garbage. You would be about ten times happier with a $30 or $40 bag. I own a bunch of bags, even 4 more Maxpedition bags, and this is the worst of them. Do yourself a favor and look for another bag that's useful, works how intended, and has at least 5 minutes of thought put into its design. Read more
Maxpedition really outdid themselves on this bag. Superior high quality and is sooooo comfortable to wear and houses all my "stuff" that i want to have with me. I'm frequently asked on the subway where I got such a great looking bag especially from security type folks and even law enforcement. It's not too big and it's not too small and the new design and shoulder strap are wonderful improvements . The zippers are great and even have the luggage travel lock design in case you need to use a zipper travel lock (for example...visiting a friends house with little kids). I carried the Sitka for years and couldn't be happier with this bag. With all the technological gadgets we all have these days, Maxpedition really took notice in Research and Development here. Ipads, cameras, smartphones, spare batteries , tools, flashlights all seem to have a place specifically designed for them and are protected too. I'm amazed at all the things I have in this bag and the weight distribution is excellent and comfortable to wear whether for a short errand or all day. And now that the price has come down considerably this is a MUST have! (Even though I would pay whatever it costs!) 5 Stars, no question. Read more

This bag is beautifully designed with one caveat -- I just find it a little too small for everyday use. I carry this bag on commutes daily, so it gets a lot of wear and tear. I do not think subpar materials are a problem for Maxpedition; I have no doubts that it is sturdy, tearproof, and ergonomically functional. It will handle anything you can throw at it --- as long as you can fit it into the bag. Make this bag 1.5x its current size, & I would give it 5 stars. I consider this a #1 choice as an unassuming "Man-purse" -- it does not scream man bag like most other contenders. The pockets are well placed and easily accessible, just tight to cram stuff into. Do not plan on a lot of bag real estate on the inside. I was hoping for it to be about the size of a normal backpack & carry about as much, but I was wrong. Yes, I know the dimensions are given on a bag like this, but I suggest you draw it out on a piece of paper to really get a feel for it first. Still glad that I bought it, but I had to do some inventory paring and carry only the essentials. It will carry a 10" tablet, a phone, an A5 pad, pens, pencils, a few highlighters, my keys, a few cables, my headphones, water bottle, etc. Really, that's about all it can handle. Do not expect 8.5x11 pads, folders to fit without folding (and forget about legal size). I give it an overall 4 stars for design, excellent materials, ergonomics, & everyday carry. Oh, and I am quite fond of the zipper pulls on the bag (very sturdy/grippy), the top handle, the water bottle pouch, and especially the waist strap (all bags should have these to keep the bag close at your side -- on train commutes, it is a godsend because I dont hit people with the bag as I move & turn). If the size is good for you, do not hesitate to buy. I will buy more Maxpedition products for sure. Read more
I found it well made. I have many other Maxpedition "legacy" packs and bags. Unfortunately this Wolfspur was not worth the extra cost and has some real design flaws. As other reviewers have mentioned, the zippers do not work smoothly and require 2 hands to manipulate. The fact that the main compartment and the front compartment only open up half way makes it hard to pack and unpack. I hope Maxpedition might upgrade their design for the bag to open up all the way like a clamshell rather than half way. Read more
