This chair arrived in two boxes. I ordered on a Thursday and had both boxes by Monday. One of the boxes was much heavier than the other, but both were manageable for me to tip and roll before taking the pieces out. The assembly was simple. The pieces were all intact. The right arm, the left arm, the back, and the seat were fully assembled and just needed to be fastened together. There were four screws in all, with wing nuts to fasten some anti-tip supports to the base. There are two remote controls. I don’t know if my dad will use the massage and heat function, but the up and down work great. The recline feature moves a little quick, but my dad‘s already seated by that time so I’m not concerned about the safety there. This helps him get in and out of his chair on his own and is really improving his quality of life and his feeling of independence. This is a very comfortable recliner, I am 6'4 and 220 lbs. Easy to assemble seems will made. The only change upgrade I would make is if they have this chair with dual motors so the back and foot rest can be adjusted separately. Also get rid of wired controls this is the 21st Century, Blue Tooth or wifi please. I bought another recliner on Amazon different brand with dual motors, my wife likes it but for a big guy the McCombo is more comfy and a good fit. Read more

This recliner was delivered on time, 1/14/2026. I watched a how to video from MCombo, but it was for the version that has the USB which I didn't get, so between the video, the printed instructions, my wife, and me we assembled it in about 1 hour. Getting the heavy base out of the box, was difficult trying to lift it up out of the box, so, I turned it upside down and simply lifted the box up. Putting the anti-tipping brackets on was tricky, for me, ONLY BECAUSE I can't bend and prefer not to lie on the floor, so I moved the base upside down closer to my couch, and voila, success. Connecting the various cords was ok, we figured it out, based on the pictures and a little common sense. The power cord was adequately long enough, I wish it was maybe 3 to 6 feet longer, but that's based on the layout of my room. Operating it works like a dream, the recliner part is a little slow, but fine as is. The lifting part is also slow, but, I wouldn't want it to eject me. I use the massage options directly where I want them, mostly back, lumbar & thigh. The heat works together and independent of massage. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product. Read more

I ordered this for my father-in-law who has dementia and mobility challenges. - he is 6'2" and very thin. He had a relatively new recliner that someone had give him a couple of years ago (God bless them), but it was beginning to wear and was getting uncomfortable since it was not an extended recliner for tall people. I took a chance and ordered it for him since it was supposed to be for tall people and it was a huge and expensive mistake. After it arrived in 3 boxes and we wrestled them into the house and assembled them, it looked ok, but when he sat it in immediately he hated it and since he has dementia he was really letting us know how unhappy he was. We added extra padding but he hated it even worse. We tried to get him to lay back and his feet were hanging off the end and it was hurting his back and boy did he look awkward! After a night's sleep, we thought we would try it again in the morning hoping he had kinda forgotten the night before and the discomfort was immediate and set off a bad morning. We used the boost pad under him to slide him up further in the recliner but if his feet are on the floor in the down position, he starts sliding forward on this recliner in a sitting position and then it started pulling at his back because of the huge gap it was creating. This model DOES NOT lay down, is uncomfortable, awkward and clunky. You are either up or you are down - everything moves in one motion and the foot rest and back does not operate independent of the up and down. NOT A GOOD RECLINER FOR ANYONE WHO HAS MOBILITY CHALLENGES and are unable to situate themselves. So, now we are "stuck" with this recliner and are on the hunt for another. It’s very sturdy yet so soft and comfortable. The controls are easy to use and it not loud when it reclining or declining either. There was a small inconvenience due to the controls and power outlet being missing. However, reached out to Amazon which reached out to the seller and the seller responded in less than 48 hours ended up sending replacements and they arrived in less than a week. However, I did reach out during the weekend so I completely understand them, not arriving sooner overall completely satisfied with the purchase and my dad loves his recliner chair. He typically does not go to sleep on sofa so a recliners, but he has been caught sleeping on this recliner when it’s fully reclined, and the little lift assist is also greatly appreciated by him. I might get myself one as well it’s just so comfy and the messages and heat make it even better. Read more
