They are mad of light weight plastic but given what I paid for them I cant really expect much more. So far they are getting the job done and look great, I just don't know how long they will hold up. I was disappointed that the color was not bronze as stated but rather a flat dull black. Also the top of the wastebasket has a rough edge/seam that may snag fabrics that get too close. Otherwise it seems sturdy. May still return it because I was hoping for something that looked more stylish than dull black plastic. Read more
