A bulb that works! Finally! One ear in the family has a very serious issue with too much wax. It's been a 5 year battle. Before now, bulbs were a messy joke. I applied a drop of hydrogen peroxide to the ear and let is fizzle and do its magic x2 because the wax was so compacted. I put warm water in a cup to draw from. I tightly put the irrigation accessory onto the bulb. I inserted the irrigation tip to the canal and squeezed. I didn't have to squeeze that hard (enough to make a steady stream), the design does the work. I did this three times and got the biggest ball of wax I've ever seen to surface then coaxed it out with a q tip. I flushed again x2 and the rest of the wax came to the surface. Super clean ears. Yes, water made a mess and you should use a towel under the head. Pro- 1. A painless process (When used properly i presume). Kiddo said it tickled and the warmth and relief from wax felt good. The tools at the ENT have been painful and scary. 2. semi-transparent bulb so you can see what's inside the bulb and keep it clean. 3. Thicker and better quality than the super cheap ones. 4. The accessory fit as snug as needed and did its job well. **Using the accessory was essential for this situation.** honestly, unless it is being used incorrectly, I don't see how this could get stuck in an ear, let alone an adult ear. Con- 1. Like all bulbs and irrigation processes, it makes a watery mess, but laying down a towel takes care of this. 2. Like all bulbs, by itself would not grab up ear wax of this caliber. It will flush it to the surface and then it will come right out. Read more

I've had ongoing issues with earwax for 40+ years and have always treated it myself every 6-9 months or so without the need to schedule an ENT appointment. The older Murex and Debrox kits used to supply a generous sized syringe such as this one, but they swapped it out at some point in the early 2000's for a tiny little one - do not, I repeat do NOT use the tiny little syringe supplied in those kits (and shame on Debrox for including such a horrible tool) - the tiny little syringe in those kits will do more harm than good - they're painful and less than worthless since they can and will make your earwax problem even worse. I do like the Debrox drops so I use those... put several drops into your affected ear, one ear at a time - lie down and relax and let it do its work - it might take a couple tries before the drops start making popping or "foaming" sounds - you WANT those sounds because that indicates it's really working. After 15 minutes or so fill a bowl with warm water (it must be warm but not hot!!), fill this Medi Grade syringe entirely up with that lukewarm water, stand over the bathroom sink, stick the tip of the Medi Grade syringe directly into your ear canal and give it a good quick squeeze! Depending on how bad your wax is it may not loosen much at first - if that's the case then repeat the entire process and if you haven't expelled wax in small hunks repeat it again the next day. This method of wax removal WILL work IF you use this well made Medi Grade Ear Syringe. Read more

Overall, effective, but be careful with the four-way squirter: more than once when using it, it detached from the bulb and the only way I could remove from my ear was with tweezers. Read more

I rarely leave a 5-star review. This deserves it! One of my pet peeves with these ear bulbs is the construction with heavy rubber, a central seam that separates, and small orifice that impedes flow. This is a standard size bulb with a smooth, softer, easier material for quick use. It is a one-piece construction like a balloon with no glued center seam that splits with use. I will definitely purchase this again. Read more
