This hood was a decent quality and thickness, and I was surprised at how cozy it was. There was plenty of fabric, so size was not an issue for me. I can see it being maybe too big for a child or someone smaller than a grown man. The weight wasn't an issue for me either. I will say that the metal clip included was too blunt to pierce through the fabric without damaging the fabric permanently. I was able to wrap the fabric into a hood and it held pretty well without it. I think beyond that though, this is definitely worth the buy, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to add to their garb, costume, or cosplay. Read more

The fabric on this is okay, the style is a little misleading as it is really just a rectangular piece of fabric that you have to arrange to make look like the picture. The pin itself was garbage, it did nothing to help hold up the parts you wanted pinned together. Fell out after being in for 2 minutes. It is not even designed to hold the fabric at all, don't even need to be a physics teacher to see this, lol. I had to just trash the pin and use a normal at home diaper pin. Idk how they get away with charging so much for these. It's literally a piece of fabric. There's no hem no sewing, no consistency of shape, it's even cut crooked. Its the equivalent of going to Joanne Fabrics and having them cut you a piece of really cheap scratchy fabric. Waste of time. Read more

For the most part it looks exactly like the picture in the listing. But I'm curious if the dimensions on mine was not correct because I could not get it to drape like in the picture. I have another of these in red that we can drape like the picture, and seems to be more rectangular shaped. I mean, for $10ish, you can't go wrong, but still. We ordered two and sent one back. Basically just a big piece of fabric with the wrong pin. It’ll work for a costume, but blatantly not as advertised. It is also poor quality since there is a visible white thread on the edge of the black fabric. It’s thin and cheap, but it will work for a renaissance fair style costume. Read more
