I bought 2 of these so far because I had a dry cough I just could not get rid of. I have one in my office and one in my living room. I may buy one for my bedroom. I LOVE the cool mist - so do my cats who are randomly fascinated by it. I like the color light - makes it easy to see the water level. I have had no issues with them at all and highly recommend them. I purchased this item because I wanted something simple to operate and clean. I have had it for a couple of days and I find it wonderful. It is easy to open which is great for seniors, the instructions were clear and it is not overly heavy or large. It is the right size for the space I have and it is extremely quiet. The light is nice but I like that you can turn it off. I have not cleaned it yet, but the cleaning should be extremely easy. I like the adjustability of the mist output and the water capacity.
