Works great on home mats so long as it is applied in one contiguous, uninterrupted strip from one end of the mat to the other. Otherwise it tends to peel up at the edges. Tried reusing the strips between one workout session and another with meh results. Good product overall, your mileage may vary depending on implementation. Read more

Pretty happy with this tape. This is the second I've purchased and used to tape gym mats together in a home gym. The first time I used this tape was in 2022 on a different home gym floor, then worked out on it daily for a full year, before having to move. The tape and gym mats stayed in place. I had a water rower, a Marcy 9010g rack, two flat benches, and a dumbbell rack on the mats and pulled equipment across the tape all the time. It withstood everything I gave it. We have carpet tiles that are not glued down to floor laminate. Now that we are exercising at home, the tiles were constantly separating. Regular tape ripped. The 4" Meister Premium Mat Tape has kept the tiles together so far, after about a week of lots of use. It was surprisingly nonsticky to the back of the mat, a type of vinyl, which was actually great when we needed to make a slight adjustment. It is the thickness of the tape that seems to make it work better than regular tape. While a little stretchy, it still holds together and has solved our problem so far! Read more

I have jiujitsu mats and have to tape them together. Overall better than duck tap and other tapes I have used in the past. Very sticky but if you land on it every now and then, it will begin to come up. Read more
