THESE BOOTS ARE PERFECT!!!! I got these in the black and I am happy with them, but there are a few issues. I’m normally a 10, normal or wide width, depending on the shoe. I have flat feet and hammer toes. These fit well in 10 and are actually very comfy, even with a thicker sock. I’ve never had wellies that were comfy like these. The inside is a pleasant spandex type material and the insole feels like memory foam. They’re also not too heavy and clunky. I wore them in rain and they worked perfectly to keep my feet dry, even when splashing in a puddle. The black does have a tiny bit of greenish glitter in the rubber, but it’s not really noticeable unless you look very closely. I tried to capture it in one of the pictures, but it was difficult to see. They also really don’t have that awful polyurethane smell that some boots have. The cons: - the black patent smudges easily and I have to use windex or a sturdy microfiber to get them gleaming - if you have bigger calves, these probably won’t work. I’m 5’10” tall and they fit around mid calf on me. My one calf measures about 17” at the widest point and I have a little bit of wiggle room. I’ve had surgery on the other leg recently and it’s 1 to 1.5 inches larger than the other and I barely fit into the boot sometimes on that leg. I tried to capture that in a picture as well. - the green glitter stuff was a surprise to me, though it’s not that noticeable All in all, I really do like these boots. Fit/Sizing - I wear US women's shoe size 8.5 (occasionally 9), med. width, shallow girth. Whole sizes only, size chart suggested if between sizes to order nearest whole size up, ordered 9. Too big! Even with thick socks. My foot wanted to lift right out, too floppy. Roomy calf area. Some reviewers thought they were not wide enough, so idk what's going on. For ref, my calf is 12-13" around the thick part. Tried on w/ leggings because I don’t think I’d wear jeans or sweatpants w/ them, but maybe clothing choice is a factor. Materials/Design - Cool blueish pearly waterproof outer w/ a fabric-like lining so they’re easy to get on. Pleasantly surprised at the springy soft insole. I take time to write honest reviews that I would find helpful. Disappointed these don't come in half sizes, but still giving 5 stars because they are nice even if they don't fit me (although a bit annoying the suggestion was to get nearest whole size up, which I did). But I don't reduce rating for personal fit issues unless I think it's a weird thing that would bother a lot of people. These Melissa women’s rain boots (Welly’s) are made in Brazil out of PVC (polyvinyl chloride). I ordered the black with silver glitter. Why not look fashionable while stomping through puddles. There are other colors to choose from. I wear a size 7-1/2 narrow. I moved up to a full size 8. I have room to wear thick socks, but even with no socks they were comfortable. Not raining yet, but I can’t wait to wear them. The boots are vegan, eco-friendly, recyclable, and made with 30% factory waste. The boots pull on, are waterproof and, as I said, comfortable. The boots are quality and are infused with a bubblegum scent to cover their rubber odor. The boots have a good solid sole for long wear. The lining is very smooth and the top edge of the boots is sewn all around. This adds stability as you pull them on. I am sure these boots will be a bit pricey for some people, but if you live in a wet and rainy climate, these boots will keep your feet dry and will last many years. Read more

These medium weight Melissa Welly Rain Boots are an exact fit..no space for thick socks like other brands. They fit comfortably on flat feet and they are easy to walk in. These are simply made, well constructed, everyday wellies. Great for the rainy season in Florida. These would have been 4-star if they were new. Read more
