This robe is actually pretty awesome. It's a lightweight fabric of course, but it's not really cheap fabric. It's actually normal durability, and you could wear this around if you really wanted to. Because why not. I actually ordered this because looking like the grim reaper is my style... NOT for a costume. I wear it around. In fact the day it arrived in the mail, I put it on and went outside and did yardwork in my new reaper robe. So the neighbors were watching me rake the lawn wearing this... yah. My only gripe is the arms are REALLY long. Way too long. So they go down over your hands pretty much... which might be something you want. I think the sleeves are meant to hide the hands, or make you look like a death walking around? Anyway not so good for doing yardwork. But hey. For the price, this robe is great and 5 stars. If you’re expecting a cloth fabric, perfectly stitched, thick cosplay robe for under $10, you need to look elsewhere. However, for an entry level robe, this is great. The material is a decent thickness polyester material. It doesn’t hold wrinkles and is comfortable to wear in warmer climates as the material breathes well. Perfect for indoor scenes or warm weather climates. The black is a nice solid black and will go perfect with many costumes. The fabric is a little bit transparent under bright lights but under normal lighting, is not see through. Stitching is decent and not many stray fibers. There is one closure ribbon at the top that does an okay job of closing the top, making it a bit like a cape. The fit is a bit baggy and comes down to mid calf on me. I’m 6’3 and got the XXL. I used it once for a cosplay costume and it worked fine. I don’t plan on using it as a costume accessory a second time, so I didn’t wash it, but I don’t see it being an item that will hold up if washed multiple times. Most of my costume robes are cotton or wool and much thicker than this robe but this is still a great introduction robe. Thicker robes do hang heavier and have more flip when turned, but they tend to be 10x more in cost. Read more

Great value for $10. Very comfortable, breathable and hard to wrinkle material. It is lightweight and thin without feeling cheap. Good for warm weather use! I am 5’9 and 150 pounds and ordered the large. A single tie at the neck, so lots of flexibility in the sizing. The length of the arms is past my hands but the length of the cloak hits about 3-4 inches above my ankle. Took a star away for this, given the use of long in the item title I would assume a long would go to my ankles or the ground. Read more

This is a really great hooded robe! The sizing is perfect, the sleeves are nice and long, and it almost reaches the ground but not quite. The material is surprisingly soft and sturdy, and has a little weight to it, doesn't feel cheap at all. The stitching is good. The hood is a good size, not gigantic but roomy. This is a generic, well-made cloak that could be used for a variety of costumes: monk, grim reaper, wearing it with a mask or make up…you get the idea, it instantly transforms a person’s look or silouhette when this is put on. The garment does not look or feel cheap, but rather more like a very thin graduation gown material, light and flowing. It has a large hood with ties that you can use for the hood or just let them dangle. Because this is a sewn, well made piece, without fraying ends like a kid’s cheap costume, I feel that the value is fantastic. It’s polyester and should be okay to wash and hang to dry. You could wear this year after year for Halloween. One note about size. I’m 5’6” and ordered a Medium. The overall length is perfect, especially for a spooky look, but the sleeves totally cover my hands until I lift them up. I’m going to love wearing this for Halloween with a mask or skeleton make up, but a size Small in this item would have also been fine. Read more

I never thought getting a cloak would be on my 2026 Bingo card, but here we are. It is very cloaky. I don't think that's a word, but that's the best way to describe it. It's large and flowy so you can be mysterious, but it's not overly large where it's uncomfortable. It's got good weight to it, to my surprise, which will help keep it down and not blowing around with the slightest breeze. I'm sure this could even work for Star Wars costumes or cosplay. I've seen similar cloaks around Halloween time for much more than the cost so this looks like the best value cloak to me. Read more
